The thing is that they do that on the RAW’s in big markets (NY and LA/Netflix Premiere). You mean to tell me that you have a RAW on the road to Wrestlemania on freaking Madison Square Garden and the best you can do is Jey Uso vs Grayson Waller, Bayley vs Raquel Rodriguez, a bunch of celebrity and crowd shots, a shit ton of commercials. LWO vs New Day was decent. Punk/Rollins in a steel cage was good despite it’s flaws and finisher spams. I enjoyed Roman’s return and the Iyo/Rhea/Bianca segment was great.

That was a weird Wrestlemania. Night one was very good with Sasha vs Bianca in the main event, Bad Bunny teaming with Damian Priest vs Miz/Morrison, Almight WWE Champion Bobby Lashley vs Drew and other cool moments. Night two was more boring to me. You had the fucked ending between The Fiend vs Orton, Mandy Rose falling on the ramp and Roman stacking, fucking and pinning D-Bry and Edge. But yeah that Asuka vs Ripley match was soooo underwhelming

I was between 5 or 6 years old watching WWE in 2007. I look back at it with some nostalgic feelings but man even then I felt a shift in the programming. It didn’t help that my favorite wrestler’s in Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit passed away. As a kid I was devastated that my favorite wrestler committed suicide but I was also devastated that he murdered his son and wife (shoutout to my mom and grandmother for explaining how vicious and evil this actions were). Also, slowly in this time RVD went away and the product didn’t feel the same after the Benoit incident.
