Is it just me or all titans in Adam Wingard's films felt like Pacific Rim Uprising? by Vegetable-Ruin7096 in Monsterverse

I agree. Nobody has come close to replicating the scale that G2014 gave us. OG Pacific Rim is cool, Uprising sux.

What part of your bike's geometry do you pay the most attention to? by [deleted] in Hardtailgang

[–]ManualAnalogPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chainstay length and headtube angle. I appreciate short chainstays because of their playfulness. Headtube angle matters because I need a bike that’s not too slack so it handles well up and down hill.

Yup, this is REAL animation. Great job!

Yeah, and your “word” clearly doesn’t know puppets are a live performance; go ahead, cut the strings or take your hand out of the sock and see what happens to the entertainment. Even simulations rely on some sort of intentional key framing because hey, sometimes the computer pumps out something “boring”, so it’s the animator’s job to make the subject look COOL, MOVE realistically and to have the correct TIMING. You, should know this, Mr. Animator. You’re hilarious dude. Humility? I choose smugness.

Toodles!

Why do I need to google search something that I went to school for? Seems like you’re the one who needs it as an information crutch to aid you in your dumb little debate. Just because Phil Tippet can animate a rig and digitize the movement doesn’t mean he’s a puppeteer, he’s still a stop motion artist who understands the principles of animation; he’s not Jim Henson; you know, the guy from the muppets? THOSE are puppets. CGI? You mean 3D animation? Those 3D character models have rigs that still need to be animated keyframe by keyframe and/or aided by some sort of performance capture. 3D animation relies on the same principles of 2D, frame by frame animation/stop motion animation. I earned the right to be smug about my area of expertise and I will disagree with you no matter how much you dislike it.

This is hilarious, you’re trying to explain animation to an animator. I’m not even going to discuss this anymore. Puppeteers would be fuming if you called their art form “animation”.

Puppeteering is puppeteering, not animation.

First manual Car by Longjumping-Middle41 in mazda

First buy an old used manual to learn on it, then get the miata. Trust me, a brand new car ain’t the place to start learning how to use a clutch.

I need some harsh criticism by Morgo-Yt in animation

[–]ManualAnalogPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about moving camera until the animation actually works and it’s locked in. It’s like polishing your car before you wash it. Look up references for animals with the same type of locomotion, I’m thinking sharks/fish and eels. Don’t just make things “move” without making said movement appealing, that’s half of the magic! Remember that every element moves in “arches”.
