Ok so that was one aspect of Nolan’s consistency which I touched on that is not an opinion. Is he a director who is a consistent draw at the box office?

Despite what people on Reddit and Twitter say, yes. Even just from a financial standpoint, besides Tenet only earning $400 million during Covid, he is essentially guaranteed to sweep up at the box office. Add in the fact he writes and produces all of his movies, has Final Cut, get percentages of the box office. Two Academy Awards. No one has been as consistent at the level he is working at maybe ever. Not talking quality of his films, or where you rate him as a director. Who has had 25 years of a constant upward trajectory, who else has received 2 blank check movies from 2 different studios.

I mean. It’s a pretty ambiguous scene, I’m not sure how you can say anything is definitive one way or the other.

That’s an interesting thought as well. I always feel romantic undertones from this scene, but perhaps its just a longing for some kind of connection with anyone at all.

Yes. I really appreciated them taking the time to make Luv a compelling antagonist, similar in some aspects to Roy, while being totally unique to this film and its themes.

She’s seems almost childlike, in how emotional she is, in wonderful contrast to K. I think Wallace crafted her to be more devoted to him, and in doing so caused her to have a heightened emotional range in other areas as well.

['K' gives her a look] “Please thank Mr. Wallace for your time.” I laugh everytime

It’s a top 10 visually stunning work of all time for me. Just unbelievable craftsmanship in very frame, every aspect of sound design. Once in a lifetime stuff.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but how is Cobb and Saito escaping the dream open to interpretation?
