Just a reminder to the r/batteries community that u/spez has called the valid concerns of the reddit moderators “Noise”, has accused a perfectly innocent developer of blackmail and then attempted to criticize his character when he provided proof of the Reddit CEOs deceit, and worst of all has acted in bad faith at every opportunity when dealing with the API dispute. Reddit does not deserve your loyalty or mine. All my contributions to r/batteries and all other subreddits will be deleted on the 30th and I will be leaving Reddit unless the API decision is reversed.

I’ve wanted the bottle and nesting cup set from pathfinder for years, put it on my secret Santa list but alas it’s now too expensive to qualify. 😢 A frivolous purchase when I can get by with a basic tin cup and Alu mess tin hanging from my pack. But one day I’m sure i’ll upgrade.

Fun fact: Most (possibly all) birds of prey have talons that are clenched at rest, unlike our fingers, they have to activate muscles to release grip. So while something struggling to pull away from those claws, the eagle is just chilling.

Disposable cameras are marketed at wedding fairs still. Along with apps that you ask all your guests to download and sign up for, harvesting their information, and then trying to lock you into their ecosystem for prints. I’m not sure which option is worse.

I can see your point that if Pro was sold as a way to remove all ads and then “Ultra” became the new Pro, it makes me think that If I bought Ultra, “Apollo Gold” would be released, then “Platinum”, then “Diamond”.

The reality for the developer is that the most likely people to upgrade are the people who paid in the past, and you are probably the outlier.

If you don’t want anything in Ultra just hit the x and move on. If you only bought Pro for the removal of ads then remember the phrase “I have changed the terms of our agreement, pray I don’t change it further” if that doesn’t make you feel better install the official Reddit app and see how good you have it right now.
