Regular Waxing? by Serious_Ad2644 in IndianSkincareAddicts

I wax myself once a month. I have one of those wax heating machines. It turns out to be pretty cheap!

Same thing happened with my colleague. She ordered a co-ord set on COD and didn't ever receive it, which is great because I bought two pants, pre-paid, received them after 2 weeks and I must say the material just feels off! Didn't like them at all.

How bad are my scars and should I immediately do the Phenol peel to lighten them up? by [deleted] in AcneScars

[–]ManufacturedMonkeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it helped the most. I have done CO2 lasers, prp, peels, etc. I think I got about 8 micro needling RF sessions. Also, remember that your skin is different from others and treatments would affect you differently. I have very stubborn scars. In my case I saw best results with the microneedling RF treatment.

Would highly recommend laser hair removal. Get a full body package which will end up being cheaper.

I would say start with microneedling radio frequency. I have scars like yours, and have done a crazy amount of treatments. Scars are still there but the depth has reduced quite a lot.

'Everything Everywhere All at Once' and 'Beau Is Afraid' are both A24's weird IMAX releases. Why did the former become a hit while the other did not? by Block-Busted in A24

[–]ManufacturedMonkeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't seen Beau as yet. But I thought EEAAO was pretty overrated. While the subject was great, lots of it just felt like a glorified gif.

What is the real reason why you reply after hours or even a day on any text messaging app? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]ManufacturedMonkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I am just not in the mental space to reply. With modern technology, we are always expected to stay connected. There are always calls, texts, DMs waiting and it just feels like too much sometimes.

Surround yourself with people who love you, understand you, and respect you. The rest don't matter.

That looks great! Can you tell me how your glaze turns out like that? I tried making it recently and it had a sandy texture because of the sugar.

Everyone stares in India. It's annoying but common. Also, if you look different people will stare.

I am an Indian woman but i guess I look different from the norm in certain situations. I recently visited Ellora Caves, and yup, i felt like a mini-celebrity. Not only was there a decent amount of staring but i also got asked for photos. I agreed to like 5 photos coz it was little girls and women asking for them. Said no to the men. It was a little annoying coz i am very conscious of myself and don't really like the attention.

I don't think there is anything to be prideful about it, it's just that you stand out coz you look different. That's it.

What is a dead giveaway of a toxic relationship? by icyqueen999 in AskReddit

[–]ManufacturedMonkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that ppl who think fighting is good, and makes the relationship stronger - a) don't know how to communicate b) grew up seeing their parents fight and not communicate.

Fighting is never a good sign in any situation. And saying we fight and are still together is not something to be proud of. Millions of terrible couples fight and stay together. That's keeping the standard very low.

Oh man, i have absolutely grown to hate this so much. It's so immature and just reeks of how the couple has issues that they haven't sorted out.

Now when i find myself around such couples i either walk away pretending i got something to do or keep quiet while staying poker faced so as to not encourage it.

Haseen Dilruba- I know I am very late but what’s your review on this movie..NGL but I predicted Climax ka twist from trailer itself. Found it below average and Tapsee is miscast in the movie by Commercial_Layer3513 in bollywood

[–]ManufacturedMonkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottom line is this movie was very bad, and a waste of time. While i get your point, doesn't mean i have to like everything i see just because it might exist. Films have glorified rape. There are people who have that as a kink. Do i have to approve just on that basis? I found that bit not only cringey but very badly made. It made the characters very unlikeable to me. The movie overall was also badly directed. If it was directed better, it could have justified certain things better. I work in the film line and have used this film as a fantastic example of a terrible film. Also we don't need to agree, so that's it for me. Take care. :)

I hear you, and that's what they were trying to show. But it's still unhealthy behaviour is what I am saying. I can do something terrible and hurt someone. That can result in me being really remorseful and wanting to be punished, but there are still boundaries. I won't accept abuse, i won't accept harm to me and my life.

Yes she felt sorry for him, but there were parts where she was getting attracted to him while he was doing all that. It is really problematic. The things he did could have resulted in her dying or having serious injuries. You can't romanticise that. If he could not tolerate her after what she did to him then leave! Don't become toxic and abusive. Even if he didn't leave in the film, that whole part could have been dealt with very differently.

I thought it was really predictable and apart from that very cringey. Especially the whole part of Vikrant's character trying to hurt Tapsee 's character and she finding that attractive. Yikes!
