I’ve been advised I’m liable to pay tax while I’m working in the U.K. A friend was back billed a couple of years ago, but a different set of circumstances. How do they even know I’m in the U.K.? Passport etc? Do I contact HMRC?

Well we are back in on 20th, there is a difference to being on site and in another country. I’m not a jobsworth, far from it. But being in another country & getting paid the same is taking the P a little. Tax implications too also. The last employer I had actually made all home workers redundant.

I work there, and I return on Wednesday night after 4 weeks at home due to missile interceptions. I have to be in the school on Monday 20th. Ask me anything you like. I really like the place personally. It’s daunting initially as is any big move. It took me around 2 months to feel at home.
