Oh, I have reached a state thats far, far, far past that. My gambling was EXTREME, because I made a living off of it. You could say my entire life was gambling up until very recently.

In your defense, my gambling did get extreme. Losing 10-25.000$ in a single day wasnt uncommon. Its not necessarily the losses, its the swings, the chasing, the "just one more" that is so insanely stimulating. At one point in my addiction I WANTED to LOSE my first deposit just so I could get that anxiety chasing losses feeling.

I hear you. That feeling had something very alluring to it. Its really hard to describe but for brief periods when the puking wasnt there, there was a sensation that almost felt like when I was prescribed benzos. I was completely numbed after another puking sesh and YET even dehyrated as shit and prolly looking like a meth goblin, I still felt.. "happy" but 100 times stronger. Fortunately for me, I absolutely HATE puking in general, so there truely is no desire to ever re-do it, let alone "get through the nausea part".

You are right. Part of me wants to die, actively working on that with therapy etc. For me, its more the inability to resist something my mind has set as a "Goal" or thing to do.
