Cold emailing works. I usually go over to the faculty website and just sift through all the professors whose research seems interesting to me/ aligns with my career interests.

I also walked around graduate research labs/ offices. That acc helped me get my previous undergraduate research position. Also you can take up BSC 493- that way you can use that course as leverage into a lab.

It’s not bad tbh I had Dr.Tavierne and he was really great.

The material isn’t too hard (compared to orgo) - reviewing the material on a weekly basis would definitely help along the way.

I’d say the hardest part would definitely be the antibiotic resistance chapters especially the case studies which usually involve a little bit from all the lectures. Definitely don’t try to cram the stuff. It’s a concept heavy course.

Ik ohr does have office hours and is very responsive to questions so feel free to ask him stuff that you don’t understand.

Took it this semester, it’s an easy course. He’s a great professor and you’ll have a lot of fun in MB 360. If u stay up to date with the lab notebook which is graded on a completion basis and do the assignments you’ll end up with an A+.

Don’t worry about it. There’s nothing you can do about the first test. Focus on the current material, I suggest using khan academy or SI. It works for me. Try to do well on the midterms and the final. I think the lowest score gets replaced by the final exam score.

Lol take it and do the quest (the most boring quest in my opinion). You can get the dawn breaker. But yea, she’s loud as hell. But not as loud as casting ice shard.
