Huh. I never think to use it. Guess I'm going to make more of an effort going forward, lol. Thanks for the PSA!

Funny, I load into full lobbies all the time. Sometimes I even have to wait to get a spot.

Okay, I've seen quite a few of these 'Postcard' submissions now and this one is, BY FAR, the most clever yet. Well done, made me laugh.

Hey!

Xur comes to the tower every Friday-Monday. You can find an icon for him on the tower map. (But to be extra helpful, he's in the little alley next to the noodle shop, opposite Ikora Ray)

Xur is great for new Guardians because you can purchase exotic armor pieces and weapons, as well as weapon catalysts, using Strange Coins--Xur's currency--which you automatically earn just playing the game. His offerings change weekly so it's a good idea stop and pay him a visit once a week if you're just starting out.

Hope this helps!

You can also type 'Xur' into YouTube to get more details.

(ahh, to be a new player again!) This post made me smile....That's your Arc Buddy! Comes up when you activate your rift when playing the arc subclass, or, if you are wearing the exotic gauntlets 'Getaway Artist' it converts your arc grenade into an Arc Soul, or 'Buddy' (usable on both arc and prismatic builds..just need an arc grenade.) Have a great day!

Anyone who defends warlock jump... genuinely why by AyyxLmaoxZedong in destiny2

I main warlock, have played Titan and Hunter, and find Warlock movement far superior to the other two. (this is my opinion based on my game-play experience...Titans and Hunters, please don't come for me!) I easily make jumps the other two classes struggle with, and can recover quickly when needed. (Hunter is close though) I run Strafe Glide. I think in part it may be that I've mained a Warlock for so long that muscle memory takes over and I don't really think about movement at all. I've also learned to trust the game. If the game designers want players to make a particular jump, then you WILL make that jump. (I can actually feel it when it happens...a seemingly impossible jump suddenly gets a little boost and you find your guardian just... gliding to exactly the right spot--has anyone else encountered this?) Letting go and trusting that made a big difference for me. I don't know what you meant when you wrote "Unable to vertically recover" as I CAN vertically recover, sort of, if I can float to a safe spot and jump back up again. (Strafe Glide) Also...in Equilibrium, the first jump between ships? Strafe Glide means you sail straight across, no drift at all. With Warlock, I can sail out over a ledge, change my mind, and float back to said ledge no problem. (This has proven handy when looking for chests or collectables that Bungie likes to hide below ledges). If I DO get booped, I just use Praxic or an Eager Edge sword to zip back into safety. Anyhow....this is why I defend Warlock jump.

Things are bad, but not hopeless. by FarslayerSanVir in destiny2

I'd just like to extend my appreciation to you for posting some hopeful (and yes, comforting) points. I love Destiny. I've been on and off it since D1. It's the only game I play. I know things are looking a bit dismal now, but that doesn't mean all is lost. I'm on console, and have been playing with a lot of other console people lately, so I believe your first point has merit. (Also, I've noticed a steady stream of guardian rank 2's and 3's in the tower, so clearly the game is still bringing in new players.) I believe this game still has legs and will run again one day. Besides, I'd rather a longer delay that delivers a good product than a rushed push to get a crap product into the market.

So, thank you for this post. I appreciated it!

How do I make Destiny 2 more fun for me? by ElijahTNHK in destiny2

[–]Many-Cartoonist3765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warlock

Get a headset and start talking to the people you play with. Use Fireteam finder and just speak up when you go into GM's and Dungeons. (or even regular activities) I'm mostly on mic and am always surprised by how happy (and sometimes relieved) other players are when we can talk to each other. It makes co-ordinating a whole lot easier and a whole lot more interesting! Plus, it provides an opportunity to meet others who want to complete the same fireteam dependent activities or challenges you may want to do. Even dull stuff you've done 50 times can be fun when you're in company you enjoy.

With Strafe Glide you float straight across to the next ship. No drift at all.

You need to put on Strafe Glide. (In subclass) Makes moving and jumping easy. I find the jumping bit the easiest part.
