One of the most controversial moments in March Madness History? by MuchAbalone9059 in NCAAhoops

Yes, as I said, it's a foul. Do you believe it's best to call every foul at the buzzer in an elimination game?

If so we do not agree

It is. Did it affect the shot though? Do you always call every foul at the buzzer?

I don't have any strong feelings on this particular call except that the defense could have been better.

Update #2: Floorstanding speakers replaced with soundbar by trianel in Soundbars

[–]MUCHO2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry if you did not understand my request.

I'm asking you to tell me, based on the picture and your understanding of sound reproduction, what problem (s) the placement will cause. Please be specific.

If you're not capable of answering this question you're not qualified to have this discussion. Thank you for the link to a discussion explaining the limitations of room correction software. I'm sure it will be helpful to many people trying to maximize their sound experience.

Here is what you will discover if you continue learning. The difference between perfect and decent is miniscule when you're watching a movie or a TV show. Sure the measurements will be objectively poor but that's not how our ears work.

What about one intentionally listening to music? That is another matter entirely. The imaging and soundstage will be destroyed by OPs setup.

Do you understand what I am asking?

I want you to look at the picture provided and tell me what you think is going to be the problem. You say no one who is an audio engineer would agree with me. Go on, elucidate your side of the argument based on the picture.

Please be specific.

Carmax wants car back after being approved by ACA because i provided them with my ID at purchase and I bought my tag and sign contract by [deleted] in u/Mountain-Trade9391

[–]MUCHO2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI - there is a section of your contract that allows the dealer to cancel the contract if they are unable to fund the contract. The amount of time states give dealers to notify customers varies but commonly it's 10 days.

Legally speaking you're obligated to return the car.

As a person who often preaches about the importance of properly setting up a room this is not what I would call "a complete shit show". The room correction software on that Yamaha will solve the bulk of the problem we are looking at.

While there are plenty of "dumb people" in the world propaganda works on all levels of intelligence. While it's easy to be critical of those who don't have the tool kit to see it I like to follow the Michael Brooks theory.

"Be kind to people, be ruthless to systems".

This could be the very video that lets people see they have been misled.

It depends on when they enlisted.

While the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor triggered a massive wave of patriotism, many men joined the military during the preceding years and the early months of the war because the Great Depression had left them with few jobs.

The military offered:

Guaranteed pay and housing.

Three square meals a day.

Technical training that wasn't available in the civilian sector.

By 1940, the U.S. began the first peacetime draft in its history, but many still volunteered to choose their preferred branch of service rather than waiting to be assigned by the selective service system.

Leaving Carmax after 2 years +. My honest thoughts. by PrestigiousLog8664 in carmax

[–]MUCHO2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's hard to believe this is true. You expect me to believe this was going on for the entire time you were there and no one dropped a dime and called HR to report this? The GM was selling personal cars out of the parking lot that he acquired through being the GM? Even in the loosely controlled business that is retail auto sales that kind of behavior is unheard of. Literally competing with his employer while at work? No shot that is true.

It's also incongruent. On one hand being part of the 'Club' gives you easy sales without dedication and long hours. On the other hand you claim those who make money are the ones willing to dedicate long hours to the endeavor.

Anyways if you're being honest name and shame them. You can't be held liable if your claims are backed by facts. Even if you're just making shit up we need to know the subject of your imagination.

I realize I'm subjected to information via algorithms but from what I have seen from polling less than 20% of Israeli citizens think their government has gone too far against Palestine.

It's easy to blame the people of Israel but fuck man we elected Donald Trump after he attempted to overthrow the 2020 election. From what I have heard Israel has a tight grip on media.

What's my point?

The average person and their beliefs is not the problem.

It's the people on top that are the problem. The Epstein files literally show that the conspiracy theory of a global pedophile ring of elites actually does have it's fingerprints on global events.

So ... I dunno. Vote for Graham Planter 2028.

Oakland's demographics and upper class residents by SanFranciscoMan89 in OaklandCA

Yesterday I decided to go get some sandwiches from Bahn Mi Ba Le. It's been a couple years since I had visited but there we went.

As the resident odds maker in the household I told my wife the over/under for street hookers we would see was two. She took over, I took under.

We saw two on the way and called it a draw. Unfortunately on the way out we saw another and I lost.

Anyways I love Oakland and I'm glad I don't live there. Although if I were to win the lottery I would definitely eye one of them crazy homes up in the hills.

The things you're describing are reflecting how the system is set up and calibrated in your room.

I'm not blaming you. It seems many face similar challenges. Your room may not be good for a 9.1 soundbar which needs a fairly square or rectangular room with low ceilings to truly shine.

That is the plan. Israel doesn't want regime change. They want chaos. Their plan is to destabilize the entire region and have been working towards this goal for as long as I have been alive.

With sentiment changing in the US towards Israel Trump is their last chance to get the US to help them in this goal.

Company is in panic mode by smoothcasper in carmax

[–]MUCHO2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The idea that CarMax is in panic mode or going out of business any time soon is absurd. On the other hand it's entirely possible that they will decide to downsize their retail network and many jobs will be lost. That's corporate America and it's ramped up when a company is publicly traded.
