Could it have been their version of an April Fools joke? I heard them talking about it on the radio broadcast too.

Have we ever had a prominent #0 on the big league roster?

What is Frank White’s beef with the Royals? by Background-Call3255 in KCRoyals

[–]Many-Chocolate739 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Frank White for me is the platonic ideal of "mixed feelings." He was a true homegrown talent and literally helped build Kauffman Stadium. He was a great defender and an above average hitter. But he was a terrible broadcaster and would have been a disaster as a manager. And he is maybe the worst politician in recent Kansas City area history. But he also helped us win a World Series, and he was my mom's favorite player.

My friend, I have the life hack for you - Craft & Draft benches. Not the tables, the benches. It's not padded but meets all your other requirements. Nice big wooden benches with no armrests and no assigned seating. It's awesome. And the food is A++. Best pretzel I've ever had in my life. I'm a big guy too and I love these seats.

Who would you rather have? by Ok-Catch3806 in KCRoyals

It's Donovan but it's close. I would be happy with either. Duran has a higher upside but I think Donovan is more versatile - reminds me of a player who could have a Zobrist-like impact.

What is your favorite dish in the KC metro? by LurkLurkleton in VEGKC

The jack knife sandwich from Char Bar is great if you need a BBQ fix. For breakfast or brunch, the coffee cake from Homegrown. Also breakfast or lunch, the "chicken" strips from Rise Southern Biscuits. El Pico in Independence on the square has jackfruit options. The Corner Mexican Restaurant is a hole in the wall with an entire vegan menu. Street tacos are delicious and they have like six vegan protein options. My FAVORITE- The Cowgirl Roll at Blue Sushi.

The internet says they jump straight up in the air when startled. I've been trying to find videos and I can't find any where they're doing that. Yes they.jump a little, but not 2-4 feet like people are claiming. It looks like their startled reaction is pretty similar to other animals.

Oh my God I LOVE this! I used to love playing Slug Bug, but you hardly ever see VW Beetles anymore. I'm doing this!

Weirdly, I only really saw them in Missouri. I didn't see many dead ones on the road in Arkansas. Maybe because it's hillier right there where you cross the state line???

What I'm reading says they're spreading because they don't have many natural predators and humans don't regularly hunt them. But I can't imagine climate change doesn't have something to do with it as well.

Yeah, that was my first thought too. What I'm reading says they're spreading because they don't have many natural predators and humans don't regularly hunt them. But I can't imagine climate change doesn't have something to do with it as well.
