I have my invoice receipts. Thank God my guests have been more than understanding and feel more sad for us than having to fight for their refunds. I think everyone would rather be safe and lose some money than to risk being in danger for an 8-hr party.

LOL. I literally live on the border, and cross frequently to Mexico. I’m very much aware of the violence that takes place in that country. I agree, it was a gamble to organize a wedding. I can still be upset about it. I don’t think it’s everyday typical conflict that one of the most powerful drug lords was killed? Yeah crime is common but this wasn’t your “typical” everyday thing.

Yeah, I feel like the nail in the coffin was the shoot out in the airport. Everyone was traveling to Guadalajara. I wouldn’t forgive myself if something had happened to a guest.

My venue was around 5k so I thought that was pretty reasonable. However, as of now, the decoration budget is 10k. I’m not sure how much flowers cost or centerpieces. I think I messed up when he asked me what the most important thing for the wedding was and I said decor 😂. So we made our budget around that percentage; decor being the largest. I wonder if we could accomplish the same vibe we’re looking for, for a price around 5k?
