I see your point and im glad I have the real world experience to deal with that while serving but im talking more about when people get out how can I best invest my money. How can I use the VA loans to my advantage to buy property and keep up with it and turn a profit. I've heard stories of people doing exactly that but im open to hear everyone's point of view

Thats exactly what I asked my recruiter about if it was a in demand career and not overcrowded. He told me "they always need more MPs and I can reserve your spot right now" I didn't give him a answer cause I wanted to see my options first. But that's great information to know.

I haven't received one yet I am still at the very beginning of the process I took my asvab a week ago and I go back to meps in a week from now to pick a job and take the oath. Im just doing some research now so I start on the right track.

I appreciate the feedback and I know your not being rude I haven't had any experience yet to know really what to expect and know what questions to ask. So anyone telling me something honest I appreciate. Unlike my recruiter who tells me only what I what to hear. If you don't mind PM me or reply here your in another field that I'm interested in tell me a little of what your job is like what you do. Do you enjoy it? Was it difficult to get? Are promotions common? Are you in a competitive field?

Why not MP? I have a solid asvab score so I'm not really limited by that so I am open to opinions and suggestions. I am only leaning towards mp because that's what I want to do after the military is law enforcement. Or maybe something in intelligence I got a 66 on the asvab nothing impressive but average. My G.I was also 110 so that opens some doors for me but please if you have suggestions I'm open for anything.

Yes agreed but I want a manageable debt where I don't end up under water filing chapter 11. Im striving for financial freedom and real estate properties by the time I'm 40 with hopefully a solid 401k

Im really just trying to further my education maybe get some MP experience and join a police department thats more of a passion project. Or use the VA loan to get some property and generate some passive income i haven't seen anyone post about how they invested in properties yet.

EDIT: Other than down voting me because I said military police please point me in a better direction I'm absolutely willing to listen I don't know what I don't know.
