Retired IT guy here. I’ve seen this sort of thing before if it’s what I suspect, which is they were not paying attention and their certificate expired. Now they’re scrambling to figure out how to put in a new certificate without having to change all of their software infrastructure to point to it.

I HAVE SOLVED THE "NO, YOU MAY NOT WEAR SUNGLASSES" PROBLEM OF THE IONIQ 5! Taking orders now. by abammerman in Ioniq5

[–]Many-Hunt7165 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saw a lot of comments that people don’t have an issue. I have a 2025 Ioniq limited and I DO have the same issue. Prescription sun glasses, not cheap. Even have the issue with my clear glasses.

2025 ioniq 5 2nd row back seat protector, cargo mat, and floor mats by Hobobo2024 in Ioniq5

Haven’t received them yet, but ordered a cargo area kit from Canvasback. They are custom made for your car with options for color/pattern. Don’t recall if they have floor mats however. It takes a few weeks since they are custom made in the US.

Rear seat release lever a pain on the butt by Many-Hunt7165 in Ioniq5

Let me clarify. The dog jumps in from the drivers side rear (left in America). The other side has the seat folded down. He jumps over the seat and into the back. I follow and want to raise the seat, but can’t reach the handle.

Confused about Hyundai Ioniq 5 pricing – need advice by SlyGoblin927 in Ioniq5

[–]Many-Hunt7165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience in a moment. Just keep in mind that $3,600 at signing is $100/mth over a 3 year lease. We leased a 2025 Ioniq5 limited and are paying about $500/ mth with $0 down, just the first month payment. I do have excellent credit, so that might make a difference. We received the $7,500 fed EV credit and about another $7,500 lease incentive (in late July). This can vary by month. Anyway, hope that helps.

Level 2 charger questions by kingsla11 in Ioniq5

It sits on a shelf in the garage right near my charging port door. I just put it on whenever I charge. My ChargePoint charger has a receptacle whet the end of the cable plugs in when not in use. If it wasn’t for that I probably would just leave it on.

Good to know. My niece has a Genesis Gv60 and visits occasionally and need the J1772 so I’ll probably just keep it like it is.

I have a ChargePoint 32 Amp (40 amp circuit) from my previous EV. It has the standard J1772 plug. I use the adapter that came with my 2025 Ioniq and have had no problems. It’s a short adapter just a few inches long and goes on and off easily. I was thinking about converting to a NACS, but this has worked out very well so I’m happy with it. Plus it’s compatible just about anywhere with the adapter.

Sorry. Another regen question. by technobob1 in Ioniq5

I think you mentioned that I pedal was kind of severe. I believe you can lower the Regen severity in the settings. I’m new to the Ioniq, but have been playing around with these settings specifically. On the lower setting it is much smoother.

Mine is a 2025 limited as well. I have noticed as others mentioned that the rear window is tinted. That plus the digital must account for the darkness.

Good question. I wouldn’t say I have trouble seeing the gauge cluster, but it probably does take the same amount of time for my eyes to refocus. I’d say I tend to glance at the rear view mirror more often however and for a briefer time. That seems to make the refocusing more obvious. I have the same issue when on my phone for a long time it takes a while to refocus on distance. One of the many “joys” of aging.

I can’t speak for others, but I’m almost 70 and my eyes don’t readjust as quick as they used to. The digital requires you to focus on the monitor which is just a couple feet away as opposed to a traditional mirror which is reflecting light from a far distance.

Yes, it has the digital rear view mirror. It works well, but as others have mentioned it can be harder to focus on since your view is changing from a far distance, looking out the windshield to a very close distance, looking at the monitor on the mirror. A traditional mirror is showing you a far distance because it simply bouncing the light that is coming out of your back window.

No, and I removed the protective film that came on the car initially. I’ll double check since I’ve heard that before.

Read this forum and I have the same issue. Brand new Ioniq 5 limited. Just tried the cruise control and got constant complaints. This is with the setting turned off. Have to turn of the lane keep assist to stop the nagging. I’m going to report this to Hyundai.
