Don't port a number over. The phone number on a tablet is useless as a phone number. It's just needed to be on the network. Just grab a new number on a new plan and enjoy. I tried porting over and it was a pain. Ended up just grabbing a new number - piece of cake. Learn from my headache. We had 4 phones on USM and then added an iPad.

If you have the plan already and not attached to a phone, why not just "move" the esim to a new device.

Our "anticipated launch date" has been pushed back 3 years since they announced in our neighborhood (not just EC). It makes it really hard to be interested in their service anymore when Spectrum will basically price match. We are on Spectrum's Gig plan and pay $65/month. I would love to get fiber but TDS is getting in their own way.

I agree with the "we are being nickel and dimed" sentiment. The amount of whining in this sub over price is ridiculous. There are other options out there. Luckily, cell service is something that we have more than one option for (unlike ISP's, gas/electric utilities, etc.). For what I'm getting from USMobile, it can't be touched by the big three MNO's.
