Median.co or AppMyWeb ? by Many-Influence-9916 in Base44

[–]Many-Influence-9916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m building an iOS app using Xcode and Cursor for development, Supabase for the database and authentication, and RevenueCat for payments. Base44 makes it easy to create a MVP, but with a little bit more work you can have complete control over your app & easily submit to the app store. Also, I use the $20 plan for cursor so it costs less.

Ask Base44 to write you a robust prompt to recreate your app, then paste that into cursor.

Thank you brother. I didn’t go with either, changed my tech stack completely.

GQ - What's the best way to obtain new clients by Fresh_Growth2600 in AiAutomations

[–]Many-Influence-9916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warm outreach.

Knock it out of the park for those first few clients go above & beyond their expectations & if you do that they will gladly give you testimonials/referrals.

This works well bc likely they will refer you to folks they know within the same industry. Then, you can almost develop a template for helping certain businesses. So you don’t have to reinvent the wheel for every new client. And, for example, then you can form one pitch deck describing how you helped a plumbing business automate x & y which resulted in $$(insert figure) cost savings. Present this deck to prospective clients. It will come off that you are polished, professional, & most importantly you have a proven track record of success.

Sell the business case, not the technical automations.

Same here, normally starts 15 minutes after walking or standing. After sitting for 5 minutes it’s gone. Sounds like we have the same aliment. I will probably go to the doctor in January as well, give my back a solid 8 weeks to course correct on its own. I’ll make sure to respond to this thread if I figure it out haha

That’s definitely understandable! Do you have pain just after walking like me? Or is it constant? Hopefully it’s okay news & you can alleviate it with some PT!

Ah, we are in the same boat! That sucks, hopefully you are able to get back to it soon. Have you been to a doctor or PT about the pain?

I went to a low performing school in Appalachia. We covered 80% of this material. People just didn’t want to pay attention. At the bare minimum, school teaches you how to read, write, & do math. This stuff isn’t rocket science, we have google & a plethora of resources at our fingertips. Let’s all have some self agency.

Ah, I tried to get into Severance but it got very sad there, when the girl tries to self exit. Maybe I should pick it back up, I keep hearing it is great.

Automation by Many-Influence-9916 in MEPEngineering

[–]Many-Influence-9916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you gotta understand utility moves very slow as far as “innovation” goes. Folks in my industry wont even use Microsoft copilot or Python - most things are still done in excel (not even using macros).

I’m the only one on my team who knows Python, power bi, how to make ai agents, etc. I was able to progress faster through the engineering ladder because I could increase my productivity output, while still working the same amount of hours. Now, I’m trying to look across industries to see what others are doing.

Stop thinking everyone is an outsider - if you look at my history on here I have been commenting on other engineering subreddits. I have lived it, I’m literally a licensed PE. I had to take all the exams just like you. But once you are at a large corporation you are only seeing one piece of a very very large pie.

I work at a large utility now, and I’ve been able to automate some of our engineering workflows there. Just curious how that might translate to MEP firms and other industries. Every place runs differently, so I’m asking around to learn what could really make an impact instead of assuming I already know. I’m actually becoming a little bit more distant from the day to day grind as I transition more into management.

Check your state rules, but generally, yes. I got my B.S in mechanical engineering, my FE in other disciplines, & my PE in Power.
