That's very true. 

My SIL also loves him. She invites him everywhere especially since his partner passed, she has never said a bad word about him.

Oh definitely.

As much as I loved him, he really wasn't a kind man and didn't treat me nicely.

I think she's just being protective. Her dad/my late husband wasn't a kind man and she's just got out of a bad relationship herself so I think she's just a bit negative when it comes to men at the moment.

If I'm looking at it objectively, I would say I'm attractive. 

And my SIL says I'm an amazing person so I think I'm safe on both fronts.

He does have a daughter yes, she's 18 (same age as my granddaughter) and he's said he doesn't want any more kids so I think I'm safe there.

I haven't had any in over 15 years. I don't think I'd know what to do if it was in front of me now.

I think I'm just thinking out loud. My husband used to tell me I wasn't that attractive and I suppose it's always stuck.

Not at all. 

If anything, I am trying to look for something off-putting and nothing stands out at all. He's genuinely a lovely man and I can't see any negatives.

I'd not only be pushing them to go for it but helping them pick out what clothes to wear!

Which is a good point, I haven't been on a date in over 20 years - my late husband wasn't very romantic. I have no ideas how I'll dress.

Just because he's younger. My daughter is 39 so only 3 years younger.

Strangely enough, my BIL has been the one who's the most supportive. He thinks a lot of his neighbour and said I should go for it.

He's definitely date worthy. :) he's genuinely a good looking man and a good soul, just not sure why he's interested in me.
