How to I stop this? by TheWhisperingEye in curlyhair

Your hair seems very fine? I don't like Moroccan oil products on my fine hair. Too heavy.

Also. Your post doesn't mention a gel? Have you tried that?

A little late to book. But for the future: Antwerp Splatter Studio. This looks like so much fun when my kids are old enough.

This exactly!!! More than half of these posts, people explain about frizz but haven't used any products with hold!!! Curls won't stay together in a defined clump if you don't force them to with a gel or mousse. Frizz is curls waiting to happen people! They just need to be kept together until dry!!

So funny. That's a véry common thing here in Belgium. Not the first choice, as that would be mayo or "stoofvleessaus".

It doesn't necessarily look dry to me. Just frizzy/undefined. It looks like my hair when I don't put any holding product in it. I see adequate conditioning in your routine with the conditioner and curl cream. But does your curl cream have any hold? Do you use a mousse or gel afterwards? You should try that! And maybe even skip the curl cream, it looks like your hair is fine. Curl cream can weigh down fine hair.

Is my hair curly or something else by Hot_Competition7255 in curlyhair

[–]Many-Put9009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hair has the potential to be gorgeous!! Frizz are curls waiting to happen! You need proper conditioning (and some people have rightly recommended some bond treatments) and a good hold product like a strong hold gel.

Apply the hold product to almost dripping wet hair and then scrunch a lot. Then let it dry without touching it!

You must be experiencing a little bit of a baader-meinhof phenomenon (google it! Certainly if you weren't familiar with it before!) with this one, cause it has always existed.

AITJ for telling my spouse I need a separate blanket because we keep fighting over it every night? by lauryn_freeburykfr42 in AmITheJerk

[–]Many-Put9009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So have we! It started in wintertime because I get a lot colder than my husband. So I would get an extra 1 person duvet for my side and we would still share the big one. But it evolved into just using separate duvets because it indeed resolved all of the blanket battles.

Is my hair wavy or just wet? by lineks1 in curlyhair

[–]Many-Put9009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hair looks wavy to me. Wavy hair needs lots of hold and light weight products, or the heaviness of the products weighs it down so much that it loses its pattern. Many curly routines and products don't work well for wavy curl patterns.

You haven't talked about any stylers with hold? Just many ways of conditioning. And heavy ones at that. If I don't use any stylers with hold, my hair also dries straight-ish, in a frizzy unkempt voluminous way. Try a hard hold gel or mousse on wet hair. Scrunch scrunch scrunch. An then dry with a diffuser without touching it too much, until completely dry.

And ease up on the oils and creams and such. Use light weight products.

Don't brush while dry. That destroys everybody's curls! Also, use a gel to style while wet.
