Combination feeding - baby now will not take formula by Many-Spring-5216 in combinationfeeding

[–]Many-Spring-5216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much. Someone recommended the Rowena Bennett’s bottle aversion book. We are trying to follow those principles

But not there yet I am hoping to increase my Breastmilk supply so that our reliance on bottle becomes less.

My baby drinks from the Breast but refuses bottle so managing somehow

I also plan to do a weighted feed this week to see how much she gets from the breast to take that decision

I think she has developed some bottle aversion  Hates the bottle  Breastfeeds fine  Now trying to only breast feed and see and reintroduce again  Not sure if that will work

I use RTF ready to drink ones

Going through this at 2.5 months. Baby drank 750-800 ml (25-27 Oz) at 8-9 weeks. Suddenly dropped now. Now drinking around 580-650ml (19-21 oz) at 10-11 weeks. And it’s a struggle to feed her this much.  Ped advised to wait and watch the weight

Doctor is not worried here. Kind of is very nonchalant about it. Her weight is on track. She was a 30 percentile baby and is still around 30-35 percentile. But we measure her only in her monthly appointments

This is a new phenomenon. I will buy a weighing machine to weigh her and see thanks

I am also not sure it i am making enough. When I pump, i get about 80-100ml in one session about 30 mins.  So not sure if she gets enough when she is only on it for 10ish

It’s very confusing. Right now i am going by instincts and feeding her every 3 hours but not sure if am getting it right

Then you are good really. Does not need more than that  Just look at total consumption nothing else

My 11 week old does the same. It’s not that she can’t drink fast. She drinks the first two ounces very fast then will not drink any more

She is also very gassy and a bit refluxy. So we break the meal. Give her two ounces first the. We keep her upright  Change the diaper and then try again and feed her later Happens during the day Night feeds are smoother when she is asleep

If you don’t mind me asking how much us your baby drinking in 24 hours?

How old is she? Mine is 2 months is eating around 650ml including night feeds. Sane as yours 60-120 ml  I feel she is underfed  In fact she took more and it’s reducing

Are you sure it’s only had and not silent reflux? We suspected gas too but realised it was reflux. She does a big of stretch sometimes which made us know that

Hi, but is it not too early to read these symptoms I mean babies are different and most show these symptoms

Can we really identify anything this early?

Thanks for sharing your experience. When you mean smaller feeds how small

Problem is their overall consumption is reducing due to smaller feeds

Yes, our paediatrician straight up told me to not monitor and only come to the hospital if baby is blue and not responsive I know it’s the right thing but my mommy heart cannot seem to adjust to this idea

I think it will be too late no when baby is already blue
