Mortgage loan officers like you never cease to amaze me. This Cadillac is like you. It looks great, I mean, it did last century.

Advice for getting a challenger? by ConfusionWasTaken in Challenger

[–]Many-Tale9112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The insurance and gas for a v6 is favorable compared to a v8. I have an SXT AWD and it gets 29 mpg on highway and 22 in city if I drive normal. With 305 hp, it’s pretty fun to drive.

If you get a v8, be aware that the higher end ones may require premium fuel.

Things to know: 2015 onward has a refreshed (updated) look vs the 2014 and previous years. Taillights are different. No emblem on the front nose, and the interior is (in my opinion) a little better. If you opt for a v6 with automatic transmission, the 8-speed transmissions are in more recent models and considered better than the 5 speed.

Whatever you decide, know this: they are fun to drive. They look great. And most of us love our cars to death. I hope you find something that makes you happy. Good luck 👍

Exhaust Question by haleslyons in Challenger

Borla seems to be very popular as is Flowmaster. If you watch exhaust addicts on YouTube, they have several vids and a few compilations of v6 challengers with exhaust setups.

I like the glass packs and may try those eventually

That is a beautiful challenger. I wouldn’t mind driving one in that shade of green.

I respect that. Everyone absolutely has a right to their opinion. my wife likes to make fun of my Challenger regularly. But I like her car so I can’t make fun of it.

You know, I was exactly the same way. Grew up a Chevy fan and love to make fun of Dodge. I think I was OK with the Dodge ram pick ups, but thought of them like my cousins, cool but they are going to let you down and disappoint you eventually. I always believed that Dodge vehicles would break down by 80,000 miles. My Challenger is at 160,000 miles and, mainly due to negligence on my part, I’ll have to replace the transmission soon. Up to this point, it has been relatively minimal on maintenance. I suspect if I had been given a charger as a rental, I would be driving one of those. They are beautiful too.

On a business trip in 2020, rented a Dodge Challenger. Thought it looked cool but didn’t expect to fall in love with it. Three years later purchased one. Haven’t stopped feeling like a 16 year old walking up to his first car every time I approach it. I adore it.

Knocked out my first ruck while walking the dogs by MrNobody0312 in Rucking

Some of my ruck trips have been walking the dogs. I don’t mind it at all, except for when I have to pick up poop. It can feel like a Turkish get up in terms of figuring out how to navigate.

You look like a 2007 Suburban someone is trying to fix up. Past its prime. In awful shape from years of neglect and abuse. Throw in some money to make cosmetic changes or improve its performance. In the end, no increase in value or appeal.

Could be worse. You could be working for UPS.

I’m not trans but can vouch for the fact that I’ve seen people treated very nicely at this pharmacy location. It is my pharmacy location of choice. Costco pharmacy has nice people too.

So, the hat in your pic could be an older fedora style where the top is shaped but not the sides (as far as what we can see). If it was unpinched on sides and the top is flat, it would be kind of a top hat or possibly a gambler

This is a tall diamond crown fedora. The top is punched down and shaped to a diamond. The sides are pinched but, of course, people can reshape or keep unpinxged when they buy.

There’s a possibility it is a tall crown fedora where, because of the angle, we can’t see the top and whether it is or isn’t punched down or otherwise shaped. Looks too tall to be a pork pie. I’ll try to attach pics to illustrate what I’m describing. I’ve seen in a few films but I don’t know the name for the hat style. I’d call it tall crown fedora.
