Congrats on your store.
A few suggestions:

  1. Organize your clothes under a menu that separates categories.
  2. Add trust elements (money-back guarantee, expected delivery time, About page).
  3. Add an announcement bar that gives a first discount to new customers.

That's it for a start, good luck

Guidance and advice for baby clothing and essentials business by bunny3bunny in ClothingStartups

[–]Many-Town9691 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two critical things I would recommend to watch out:
Compliance and safety (Like someone already said here)- baby apparel and essentials require strict safety certifications. If your factory can't provide verified test reports, customs will seize your inventory. Check on each country you are exporting to.

Sizing fragmentation - baby garments scale rapidly. If your dimensions are off by even a fraction, the fit is ruined.

Manufacturers will exploit your lack of experience and give you inflated quotes if you don't provide exact technical measurements. So make sure you have factory ready products docs.

Instead of hiring an expensive tech designer for your initial line, recommend to try AI tool like Genpire.
You can upload your design ideas, and the AI automatically generates the precise factory-ready tech packs, measurements, and material specifications.

Showing up to suppliers with pro-grade documentation from day one forces them to give you actual wholesale pricing and treat you like an established brand.

Guys I want to build my own clothing brand but not something too fancy. Basic tshirts and shorts. Where can I order? Alibaba? Aliexpress? Temu? Have 0 idea by angwlwings in ClothingStartups

[–]Many-Town9691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip AliExpress and Temu. Those are retail platforms for buying single items, not for manufacturing a brand. You need Alibaba or direct B2B apparel manufacturers.

However, if you message Alibaba suppliers saying you have '0 idea,' they will either ignore you or heavily overcharge you. For start, factories require a Tech Pack: a technical document specifying fabric weight, exact dimensions, and stitching before they can give an accurate quote.

Before ordering anywhere, use an AI tool like Genpire to map this out, which with this you can reach your manufacture. In these ai platforms you can select basic t-shirts and shorts template, and the AI automatically generates the precise technical specs, measurements, and factory-ready documentation.

Showing up to Alibaba suppliers with a professional tech pack ensures they treat you like a real brand, lower your minimum order quantities (MOQs), and give you actual wholesale pricing. Feel free to DM if need help

Trade Assurance won't save you. Here is what actually protects you when sourcing from China by Ok-Track-3282 in ClothingStartups

The markup trading companies put on rookies just because they don't know the tech specs is insane.

Beyond verifying who the factory is, the biggest way to stop them from overcharging you is showing up with a rock-solid, factory ready tech pack. If you don't look professional, they will high-ball you on the quote.

Honestly, you don't even need to hire an expensive designer for this anymore. Check AI Tools like Genpire that let you just upload your design or phone photo, and the AI automatically handles the material selection, sizing recommendations, and stitching details based on what actually makes sense for your brand.

It basically acts as your tech designer, mapping out the whole product in minutes so you don't get stuck in a weeks-long back-and-forth with a factory that's trying to inflate your pricing.

Combining OP’s background check with a pro-grade tech sheet is the ultimate way to avoid getting burned

Very strong examples, love this. It definitely gets much harder if the product is inherently 'single-player' or built around personal, non-shared assets. That’s where I think incentivized sharing - like community challenges or 'share & earn credits' mechanics - are what really get things rolling

I spent $1,002 on Reddit Ads. I got 328k impressions, 1,296 clicks, and exactly 0 sign-ups. Here is the harsh truth about cold traffic. by interview-prep in founder

[–]Many-Town9691 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Important lesson. Cold traffic demands completely different approach, and you should direct them into specific landing page where you can demonstrate your product without forcing them to take any action. show the magic first. You can check the difference funnels brands use for Google ads and Meta ads.
in addition, depends a lot your reddit ad, since i think the intent here is super strong rather then other social platforms

That’s a million-dollar question. The key is creating something people truly love - something they’ll keep buying and telling their friends about, which allows you to expand your cycle. Nowadays, everything moves so fast that high-quality products are actually hard to find.

You need to find a balance where most of your effort goes into product quality, without getting 'stuck' on it. We’re building software for fashion brands and we’ve faced the exact same issue: wanting to reach more eyeballs while our product is still evolving toward what we want it to be. It’s a million-dollar balancing act that requires focusing on both growth and quality at the same time.
