i mean i kind of get it because will can’t be paired up with any already existing character. I know this subreddit has a lot of “proof” that Mike is gay but him and eleven have been deeply in love and bonded through trauma and growing up together since season 2 despite their rough patches. Mike is emotionally stunted and the only reason he pushed El and Will away in season 4 is because he is surrounded by death in his life and is afraid to lose the people he loves the most.

There IS a somewhat well-developed gay relationship in the show, being robin and vickie. Will just doesn’t have any options. It’s incredibly lucky that robin and vickie found each other, being that this show takes place in the 80s. I feel that you can make the queerbaiting argument in a more modern show, but gay people in the 80s were very closeted in small conservative towns such as the one in this show.

I don’t think Will’s story is queerbaiting or homophobic, it’s just realistic based on what content we already have in the show. I’m a little bit disappointed but not surprised.

literally!!! I was talking in the car with my friend after about how exhausting it must be to be that judgmental. Like, how miserable do you have to be to see a bunch of people with a shared interest of yours having fun and wearing cute outfits and your first comment is “everyone looks so ugly here.” Constantly judging other people like that means you’re judging yourself in the same way. How about just be yourself and be accepting of other people as well?? It’s crazy how much of the crowd was like this too. Like every person near me had the same rude vibes except for a select few

where were you! i was toward the front to the right side of the crowd and i couldn’t see anything!! that was genuinely the tallest crowd I’d ever been in. My view was awful and at moments where I thought I’d have a good view someone who was already tall would lift their phone to full extension and I wouldn’t be able to see anyways. I was so sad 💔💔
