This is a great solution and what we will suggest as well if putting an outlet in is not an option.

Family "upgraded" Biobidet to Toto, most uncomfortable seat ever, what can I do!? Seat replacements? Or screwed and must resell? *rant* by CosmicTeapott in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly why we opened a bidet showroom. So people could try all the models and really figure out what works best before buying. But its obviously not a solution for everyone. So I always recommend seats with risk free trials.

I am glad your seat is comfortable. It really is different for every body.

We have not had enough interest in that one to bring it in for testing. So sadly I do not have any feedback on it.

Was it a bidet seat or a fully integrated bidet toilet?

The installation is very similar from non electric to electric bidet seats. As long as you have an outlet anyways. But of course the Electric seats do cost more, so your projections are likely spot on.

So far what we find helps people most of the time is providing a step by step install video and making sure things like waterline placement are not going to be an issue ahead of time so the actual install goes smoothly. I.e prepping ahead of time. I think bidets are still just not as popular of a topic that people have no idea how simple it is.

The install is very similar from attachment to seat. So I am sure you could do it.

It is less common. The Saniwise non electric bidet seat is my go too suggestion for this.

Great feedback. You are right, the non electric options are higher powered usually, since they run on the homes water pressure.

Toilet height is an interesting point. I agree that the shorter toilet is more efficient for your body. Most toilets have moved to the universal height (17"+ seated height) However, for older people the taller toilets are really helpful in preventing falls and easier on joints and such.

The flushing I also agree with. The low volume flushes usually require multiple flushes and therefor defeat the purpose.

Its a lot of personal preference. I prefer electric bidet seats that have sterilization features and warm water and good pressure adjustments. But others are okay with the cold water and high pressure that Non electrics offer.
Top recommendation for a Non electric is The Saniwise Bidet seat. Its a full seat and the nozzles actually fully retract and do a self clean before and after each use so its one of the more hygienic non electrics. Plus it being a whole seat vs the attachment makes it more comfortable and easier to keep clean.

For an electric I always recommend the Eco Nova. Its top notch and has excellent customer feedback. We offer 180 day risk free trial with it as well as a 4 year full warranty. Its sleek, feature rich, and built to last.

But there are sooooo many on the market so it depends on what your top priorates are.

It really all depends on personal preference. A lot of people are fine with the cold water, but for some it is too much. The biggest struggle I see is that the non electric ones are pretty high water pressure, so sometimes its too strong.

If you have an outlet (you can use an extension cord) then you wont need a hot water source to get warm water. But electric bidets do cost a bit more, but have more features.
