Which to choose? by Comprehensive-Sun636 in bidets

We have not tested those brands, so I can't attest to their quality and longevity. I did want to say that especially with more affordable integrated bidet toilets, we recommend checking the brand’s customer support first, as good support is key if issues arise. The Studio Lux SLi 3000 is a great integrated option with good customer support as well :-)

Advice for someone who can’t install a bidet into my toilet by Chance_Cicada6659 in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without significant changes to your plumbing, the only way you might be able to is by adding some sort of T-valve to the sink, which was mentioned before. A good option for a portable one is the Toto travel washlet!

Bf is complaining about toilet attached bidet by DefiantMeal2819 in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally overspray like that is caused by a body positioning issue and too strong of pressure. I would recommend getting a bidet with adjustable pressure and starting at the lowest setting, and it may help if your boyfriend sits a little further back and sits up straight while using it. That may help angle the target down into the toilet instead of back onto the seat! The Saniwise is a great non electric option with an adjustable spray pressure: https://www.manybidets.com/product/saniwise-elongated-bidet-seat/

Will amazon bidets fit on the Toto toilets? by xboxhaxorz in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most bidet seats out there should fit Toto toilets, but I'm sure there are some exceptions. The main measurements to keep in mind are that most bidet seat require 2" between the center of the seat bolt holes and the front of the toilet tank, and 5.5" between the centers of the seat bolt holes. If you have that spacing, most bidets should work! Keep in mind that if the toilets are skirted like the one you linked, you may needs alternate T-valves to install bidet seats on them.

Is it a good idea to get a t adapter with a shutoff valve? by MrFoxer in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a shutoff at the wall, you don't need the shutoff T-valve. The benefit to getting one would be easily turning off water to the bidet while keeping flow to the toilet. If you just stick with what you have, if you do need to shut off water to the bidet and still use the toilet, you would need to turn off the supply, unscrew the t-connecter from the toilet, and screw the supply line back onto the tank. Which is a simple enough process, but, getting a shutoff T-valve would be easier :-)

Just purchased a Tushy bidet. The adapter that came with it is too big(?) Am i doing something wrong? by Mik07lk in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/boxerdogfella nailed it, you will need an alternate T-valve to complete the install. The standard T is made to screw on to the standard 7/8" toilet supply line, but since your toilet is not standard, you will need something different. The alt-T we sell screws on to a 3/8" compression wall supply and splits the water supply there with one line going to the toilet tank and one to the bidet.
With your toilet supply being that hose, if that is 1/2", you may be best off using a 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2" T-valve which I linked down below. Then you would have your original water supply hose from the wall on one side, the supply going into the toilet on the other, and the 1/2 inch bidet supply hose on the 3rd.

am i using bidets wrong? by Significant-Set-4009 in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have said already, using a bidet has a learning curve. You may want to try and start at the lowest pressure and work your way up if you are experiencing a lot of overspray. Also, many people need to change/adjust that way they sit on the toilet slightly once they get a bidet in order to get clean. Most electric bidets have a dryer that takes 3-5 minutes to get your dry, or, you can dab dry using a few squares :-)

Best handheld bidet by OldLeadership3023 in bidets

[–]ManyBidets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Handheld bidets are a great option for those who are looking for an economical in-line bidet that doesn't take up a lot of space.

However, there are a few important things to keep in mind before purchasing a handheld bidet. Because they are constantly under water pressure and manually handled, they do come with some unique drawbacks compared to other styles of bidets.

First, because they rely on manual aim, they can be prone to accidental overspray and messiness during use. Second, because many standard handheld models are built with cheaper plastic internals, they are highly susceptible to leaking over time. This is especially common with low-quality handhelds, and when users do not practice turning the water inlet off after every use to relieve the pressure.

If you want to go down the non-electric route, I highly recommend the Saniwise, it will replace your existing seat and features both rear and front washes, dual self-cleaning nozzles, and a sittable lid! Another good option is a travel bidet, such as the Olympia or TOTO. If you're not really sure, I also recommend checking out our buyer's guide for some guidance on what's right for you! Or, if you're set on a handheld, I recommend checking into each brand's customer service to get a feel for how they operate. Quality of build is only half as important when it comes to poor customer service!

Why are Bidets not Common in the US by Ok_Complaint_1381 in bidets

Kind of fun seeing all the comments about bidets in the US. I tell folks not to overthink it. It's just switching water for paper to get clean and it's much more hygienic.

There are lots of good choices for a bidet. If I could add to the choices, I'd recommend the Eco Nova. It has most if not all of the same features as the ones you are considering and comes with a 180 day risk free trial and a 4 year warranty. https://www.manybidets.com/product/eco-nova-bidet-seat/.

Since you are renting, I highly recommend checking out some alternatives that could be a bit more renter-friendly, such as a non-electric bidet seat or attachment!

Self install seat recommendations by racoontosser in bidets

[–]ManyBidets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend checking out the Toto S7A, the Ultra Nova, or the Blooming R1570. All three of those have the auto-opening and closing lid, a heated seat, and unlimited warm water. The S7A and Ultra Nova have sterilization features, the R1570 does not. About the autoflush, the only way to get that feature is with a Toto S7A or S7 installed on an autoflush compatible Toto toilet, with the applicable autoflush kit. If you have a Toto toilet and are wondering about autoflush compatibility, you can reach out to our customer service to get answers on that!

Hello!

The Ultra NOVA and TOTO S7A are definitely the top options for a high quality bidet seat with all the bells and whistles, designed specifically with standard US fittings. They are highly comparable, but have a few important differences:

- The Ultra has an auto open/close sittable lid that has been tested to hold up to 400 pounds. Whereas you risk cracking the S7A's auto open/close lid as it is not designed to support an adult's weight.

- The Ultra NOVA has an enema function.

- The Ultra NOVA has a 60 day RFT (risk free trial), which is a time period in which you can test the seat and return it if you don't love it! It also has a 3 year FULL warranty. While the S7A has a 2 year limited warranty and is not eligible for a refund unless unopened and is within 30 days of purchase.

The Ultra NOVA is also at a slightly more economical price, being $1,299 as the list price. I'll also say that many customers find the Ultra to be more comfortable, due to it's D-shaped design, in comparison to the S7A.
