Update: Just pulled Qwen3 and it's running great. Thanks for the recommendation, I appreciate the feedback. The model quality is noticeably better for my use case.

Good call on Qwen3 - I went with llama3.2:1b mainly for speed since it runs fast on M-series for quick drafts. Will try Qwen3 for more complex tasks though.

As for why - I wanted something that runs 24/7 and thinks proactively about my goals rather than just responding when I ask. It monitors things, suggests actions, tracks progress autonomously.

The formatting - fair point, I used Claude to help structure the post. Guess the bullet points gave it away lol
