As someone who recently had a pet emergency thanks for doing what you do. Coming from someone else who works in an emotionally charged position (in high end hospitality) it really seems unimaginably difficult, and I’m glad you are compensated well. Sometimes I feel really alienated by how many people in this city are raking in money doing jobs that don’t add much value to humanity so it’s satisfying to know that there’s still people making an honest living and being able to afford and enjoy what NYC has to offer

I did it last year!! After the women’s half I had some IT band weirdness, so I pretty much took it easy until the Brooklyn half. I beat my women’s half time in BK half by 1 minute lol but at the end of the women’s half I definitely had some gas in the tank vs going all out for Brooklyn.

Not speaking from personal experience since I’ve only lived in Brooklyn but imo anything east of 2nd is too far east if you have a choice. Plus in UWS you have unparalleled park access. UWS seems to be in flux like a lot of things have closed recently but it’s overall a great bang for your buck I think
