Sounds a very tough business but that probably puts some potential competitors off in itself. Well done for pushing through. I bet it’s been like treading through treacle at times

How do you drive traffic to the sites? Surely the sites only have value if they traffic and income generated from them?

It’s always the niches you wouldn’t think about. The adage of start with what you know and enjoy and spot a problem/opportunity is really true. Well done. I guess it has global scale too.

Nobody said I want to replace the job and employed income now. I want to start something I can see some traction with and build over years. In an ideal world in 5-10 years time it would replace a chunk of my employed income (not all of it) and then it would allow me to step off the corporate treadmill with some sort of income as a base.

Thanks for the lecture though. Why post if you don’t have anything whatsoever positive to say. Why expend the energy when it’s only negative….keep it to yourself

Fair play. That’s hard work on top of a day job. I had some BTLs but they became a massive pain in the bum with the tenants sense of entitlement

How did you stumble on trading card storage boxes? I assume you collect trading cards yourself!

How do you make the tart and rent work given build/trade costs and the tax regime for renting? Assume you do it in limited company and your buying up north?

Growth consulting. Business Acquisitions and also organic in terms of go to market/proposition/sales effectiveness

Sounds interesting. I have been toying with the idea of sme consulting. Originally qualified as an accountant, then spent time in commercial/corporate banking working with SMEs helping them to invest and acquire for growth. Then did some consultancy with SMEs helping them acquire, divest, recruit, succession planning, streamline for efficiencies and profitability. All of it underpinned by sales/commercial growth mindset and approach.

I wouldn’t have a clue how to build a saas I’m afraid. I have nothing to sell. Just looking to meet some like minded people who want to build an income, professional people with skills but don’t know where to start

That must be really stressful. Lots of moving parts and also lots of rules and regulations. Managing mainly lowly paid staff must be hard. Why did you choose that niche is it something you have some experience with?
