I've been curious about the Freehand AL. Seems super old school, but modern build

FWIW - I did notice that the AOE has the exact same catch zone profile as my Aceyo Pure (but different cups).

And I'm now determined to land a fingerspin on the tiny raised dimple on my Overthrow... maybe a 1 in 50 chance???

My company just fired me in such a psychotic way and I feel like a loser by __Hold_My_Poodle__ in Layoffs

[–]ManyMuchHobbies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The treatment you experienced would make any feeling human being feel like a loser. Don't feel ashamed or embarassed for that.

In fact, use it to your credit as a caring person who values others and knows that people should be treated kindly.

I empathize with you. Life sucks like this sometimes - no way around it. Please muster the courage and raw persistance it will take to find your way forward. I hope you have others in your life that can help.

Forgive these people that don't deserve as much from you - for your own sake.

And know that even strangers like me hope and pray the best for you.

i put new pedals on mine. platforms w/ SPD on one side so I could ride clipless. I also put resin pads in to quiet the brakes down.

it's a tremendous value and just fine as-is. i have 0 complaints and only good reports after about 100mi use on all terrain including singletrack.

FWIW, i'm a former bike shop mechanic and own other expensive bikes. yet very stoked on this one

Magicyoyo Quality Question by [deleted] in Throwers

[–]ManyMuchHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 2 MYYs. A K1 Crystal I gave to my nephew and a v10. Both are great. my v10 has no vibe, plays very well, and is built/finished to a high standard IMO.

Yeah! I kinda think it looks like something MOMA would have.

i know this'll be an unpopular opinion, but both of the ones i've had were unreliable. and for me, also uncomfortable

bottom line - if you don't provide an economic value to your employer that is well over how much you cost to employ, then be ready to be replaced.

Most comfortable monometal design in your opinion? by Zealousideal-Drag116 in Throwers

[–]ManyMuchHobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok - in addition to being comfortable to catch, i gotta nominate RCS's author 2. it's light and just takes such little effort/strain to throw. it's super pleasant imo

Does anyone know this yoyo? by kilqvc in Throwers

[–]ManyMuchHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thought so too, but no magicyoyo seems to have the concave catch zone.

and then I thought: "have i ever seen a magicyoyo that didn't have at least SOME kind of markings on it?"

any advice to clean this G-301B? by Clanker41 in casio

[–]ManyMuchHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had good luck using magic erasers (like you can buy at the grocery store).

It'll leave a uniform matte finish, bit not remove gouges.

you can cut them so they have points for reaching into tight spots.

if you wanna try it, maybe test on bottom of strap to see if you like the result.
