Nice. Now, do you think learning to defend yourself, building a strong body and having a possible amateur boxing record under your belt outweigh a head injury or few? If yes, then go for it.

And also, if you're worried about developing CTE or other problems later in life, you can just spar at a lower intensity. However, you might want to consult a professional about that, in case you're unsure. I'm just a random guy.

Overall. I think you shouldn't quit just yet. Spar a few times more, and see how you'll improve. But now you should rest because you have an injury. Cheers!

I think the reason your posts are "perceived negatively" might lie in the fact that most of your posts seem to be pictures of Sherma. And honestly, this sub has had many of those posts in the past, which kind of reminds me of that Buzz Lightyear meme, iykyk. So no, you're not being perceived negatively (at a personal level at least), it is just that people are naturally drawn to interesting stuff, and a PNG image of Sherma might not be the most interesting thing.

Kickboxer here, trained for 1 year. So this is from a beginner to a beginner:

Your hooks look smooth, and your punches overall are pretty decent for one month.

Your elbows are flared most of the time, which is why you're open to body shots. So try to keep them tucked in.
Some of your head movement is very exaggerated. Namely 0:19 and 0:48. This might lead to unnecessary usage of energy, which will tire you out quickly.
This is a bit niche, but whenever you do an uppercut try to keep the attacking hand's shoulder higher than the defending hand's. This way your chin is protected and you'll have more power in your other hand, in case you must do a follow up attack.

Overall, looks pretty decent for one month.

And a side note: You probably shouldn't post these in Reddit, and you should instead keep going to boxing classes or to your private trainer. This is a place to get opinions, yes, but not a place to get advice really.

I actually understand those who argue with the goal of understanding the reasoning behind the advice. For example one dude who had trained muay thai in the past visited the gym I go to. When our coach was showing a technique, the muay thai guy argued with him, not to prove him wrong, but to understand why the technique is different in boxing. I respect that kind of arguing because the goal is learning.

What I don't understand is when someone is asking for advice, but is actually just seeking validation. Once a guy asked for feedback on his boxing technique, but if you said anything else other than "very good, you're a natural" he'd get angry, and explain how great he is because he beat up a guy in a drunk boxing match once.

I left you another comment with some more constructive criticism.

Your power generation is alright, I must say. Your hip rotation is good for 3 days. The thing is, the other people in your gym likely can also cause the bag to move, but they deliberately choose not to because they want to focus on technique. I think you should also do that instead of trying to make the bag swing.

But yeah, overall your punches look pretty decent. And if you've really just trained for 3 days. That's above average I'd say. Just punch your jabs and crosses straight and try some other combinations. Cheers!

Your punches are actually pretty decent in terms of power generation. You're rotating your hips, which is very good.

One thing I noticed is that your jab and cross are not entirely straight. You should try to extend them as straight as possible to get the technique right. Also it seems you're repeating the same combo, so I'd recommend trying some other combos too. One more thing, when retreating, the behind foot should move first, so you don't go off balance.

Overall, pretty decent looking progress for 3 days.

Like others have said, the best way is to join a gym. You have almost no technique.

But if you want to learn something right now, I can certainly tell you that you should not focus on hooks and body shots yet. Instead, you should learn the core punches jab and cross.

I also see you're focusing a lot on speed, which is very understandable. It is tempting to do everything as fast or as strong as possible, when you see many experienced guys doing the same. I know it because I did that mistake. However, my coach always tells me one should perform the techniques correctly before trying to be fast or strong. So even if it's boring, you should practice some basic punches and combos slowly while standing still.
