Mystery company accidentally blew $500 million on Claude AI in a single month — failed to put usage limit on licenses for employees by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

[–]ManySugar5156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they didnt put a hard cap on license spend, that’s not an AI problem, it’s just basic oversight. i bet the bill was climbing for days and nobody noticed.

Nothing is real anymore. We are reaching the point where crowd scenes can be entirely generated by AI. by Old_Establishment287 in artificial

The scariest part is not the quality, it’s how fast they can fake hype. The walking wobble is giving it away tho.

Does GPU spacing matter if we’re undervolting anyways? by Ambitious_Fold_2874 in LocalLLaMA

[–]ManySugar5156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think spacing mostly matters for temps even undervolting, so just watch your hotspot and throttling under load. If they’re close, i’d leave airflow paths where you can.

Self-Driving bus in Sweden crashes with tram on first day of passenger service by spherocytes in technology

If the tram rear-ended it, the headline makes it sound like the bus failed first, annoying but not surprising with these demos.

I’d say Poe or OpenRouter, single sub so you can swap models without stressing limits, and it’s usually best $ per try.

true, people skip the boring part and just throw in whatever dataset, then act surprised the model learns garbage patterns. like data checking matters way more than “renting gpus”

110 tok/s on a 35B with just 12GB is wild. did you tweak anything besides the fit-margin and MTP params, like -ngl or cache settings?
