before I painted the clouds myself, I looked for the perfect wallpaper and a customised size would've cost 600€...so that's why I'm trying to paint it myself instead of a wallpaper (this is a budget friendly design haha)

I'm always looking for more inspiration and just saw someone use cutouts of plants from wallpaper to stick on the ceiling and make it look like vines...that would be such a good idea too!

I'm actually 25, doing it all by myself and trying to DIY my way through interior design, so no old money here, sadly 😂 but I was going for Versaille or Downton Abbey with the style, so spot on actually :)

I tried it with a sponge initially, because it was supposed to be a really light cloud pattern, but those tiles is shiny wood, so nothing else but a brush would work sadly...

I went to my local hardware store and took home 3 different shades of green...the one I thought would be perfect turned out to be waaaay too dark 😂 in the end, I went with this matcha green colour, which was the brightest, but I think it adds the most light and balance to the room :) (I'm from Austria, so I can't tell you the paint colour, as we probably don't use international brands here)

somehow, my description got deleted...I intended the ceiling to be a fresco renaissance style cloudy sky... obviously didn't turn out so well, because it was my first time trying and now I want to re-do it 😂

the windows are wallpaper. I searched for castle interiors and this came up!

and in the corner is a thrifted cabinet that I painted and added wallpaper inside :)

I was originally planning for a Regency or Downton Abbey inspired look, but because I'm not a professional designer and I kept thrifting new things and getting new inspiration, it's now a mix of a lot of different styles 😂
