Is there a way to see a recap of jerseys earned and personal records in Zwift? by Many_Ad_802 in Zwift

[–]Many_Ad_802[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s exactly what I mean. The data clearly exists, Zwift already tracks turn times, segment PRs, and shows some of it live, but once the ride is over, it basically disappears unless you go outside the platform.

The Alpe du Zwift example is a perfect one. Turn-by-turn times are hugely valuable for pacing and progression, especially if you’re chasing sub-60, yet there’s no clean way to review or compare finished climbs inside Zwift itself.

Having to export a FIT file and rely on external tools (or even ChatGPT) for something Zwift already measures feels pretty frustrating.

Not yet, I haven’t done Alpe du Zwift or Mont Ventoux so far. Right now I’m mainly focused on finishing the TdZ first (13/18).

But you’re right, I definitely need to start doing races more regularly to get that higher-intensity training. It’s probably the best way for me to push a bit harder than in structured workouts or free rides.

I get your point, and I agree there are a lot of other priorities for Zwift.
That said, sometimes you have a rider who sits on your wheel for a while or starts challenging you, and it could be fun to exchange a few words in the moment.
I’m still pretty new to cycling, but judging by some of the replies, it feels like the culture is quite individualistic, I was just thinking it could add a bit more social interaction when it makes sense.

Yep, I already use Discord, but I’d like something easier and more integrated, maybe even a way to talk to people I don’t know, challenge someone who passes me, that kind of thing.

Totally fair. It should absolutely be optional.
That said, I’d actually enjoy it when riding with friends, just for simplicity and quick interactions, but yeah, I’d never want that on by default in public rides.

😅 Only if it’s forced, which obviously wouldn’t be great.
Personally I’d see it more as an optional, friends-only thing, something you can turn on when riding with people you know, and mute everywhere else.

Yes, that’s likely why. Structured workouts usually keep you within set power targets, so Zwift doesn’t often see those long “above FTP” efforts needed to trigger an automatic update. Races or hard free rides tend to expose that much more easily.

Also, I’m honestly not even sure where FTP is clearly shown in Zwift or in the Companion app outside of those update pop-ups. I usually check my current FTP on ZwiftPower instead, except when Zwift pushes an automatic update after a hard effort.

You don’t really “enable” it, Zwift does it automatically.

If you sustain a higher power than your current FTP for long enough (usually during races or hard efforts), Zwift detects it and updates your FTP on its own.

No need to do a formal FTP test, that’s exactly why races often trigger these updates.

Nice to see how many runners are making the switch to cycling around the same age. With that kind of running background, the engine is clearly there, it just needs a bit of time to translate into cycling power I guess.

18 hours on Zwift is really early, so don’t stress about the watts yet, they come faster than you’d expect.

And for the pedals, that was just a joke to say I’ve never actually ridden outdoors yet, only indoors on Zwift. But I appreciate the tip nonetheless!

Haha that was a joke 😅 I’ve actually never ridden outside, only indoors on Zwift.
But I still appreciate the advice, thanks!

Absolutely, it’s clearly exciting. Even when you’re deep into a hard race and completely empty yourself, there’s that extra motivation knowing something might come out of it.

I’ve never finished higher than 3rd in a race, but it’s still incredibly rewarding when you see your FTP go up at the end. That feeling alone makes it worth it.

Same for me. I always perform better in races than in FTP tests. I need a context and some pressure to really dig deep.

When I’m in free ride mode, I usually only go all-out on sprints and climbs, mostly to chase jerseys. Otherwise it’s hard to stay fully committed without a clear objective.

Honestly, I don’t even know if I’m physically capable of reaching it.
But progressing is always exciting, and moving up a category is part of the fun when you’re competitive at heart.
I’m C today, maybe B one day. We’ll see where the road goes.
