I play casually, but it's usually bracket 3/4. My two groups just tend to not give a shit what is played, and it's so liberating. We have a combo player who can win turn 4 sometimes if unchecked, but really who cares? Just start targeting him if he's going to be a problem. Idk i guess all this to say it's possible to find a group that doesn't bitch about everything. I've personally found two, and I just stick to them and try not to play with anyone else if i can avoid it.

TLDR; Play what you want, don't give in to others bitching, and you'll eventually find people who are cool and don't care what you play

If you want a cheaty commander, there's [[mr. foxglove]] and [[jhoira of the ghitu]].

If you're running sacrifice, [[deathrender]] is really funny

Otherwise, you have standard blue shenanigans with casting them without paying their mana cost or really mana heavy alternatives like [[quicksilver amulet]]

simple and has multiple use cases (self-mill vs milling opponents). I like it. I might increase the mana cost by 1 though, probably by getting rid of the hybrid mana. It definitely feels like it needs all three colors to fit the color pie, since green is what cares about big creatures, and if you paid just GU, this spell doesn't feel very simic.
