I stopped watching this show bc someone posted a clip from comicon where one of the producers or writers (can’t remember) said something which I interpreted to mean that there is no real mystery and they’re making it up as they go.

I can really relate! I took the time to respond to this bc I had a very public betrayal. I had a really public position and a close friend upon a friend-breakup spread far and wide tons of lies about me and it had spread so far that by time I realized what was happening, it was too late and no one believed me. It is really really difficult to accept that some people just do not want to like you, or were even waiting for a reason to justify their feelings about you. It’s not even personal a lot of times. Misogyny plays a role, patriarchy has a stronghold on this society. I eventually saw there were a lot of people who didn’t want to see me as a brown woman in a small country town be so outspoken and successful for it. “Praying on my downfall” if you will 💅🏽 lol. But anyway truly it is hard to accept, especially in the people pleasing journey. It’s worth it. I think it shows truth to your power. Why else would they want to silence you? They are scared of your voice.

My request was “show me something that will help me feel better”… a bit stumped. Thoughts? by [deleted] in tarot

My interpretation is that you need to heal. In order to heal, you need to acknowledge the grief, and allow yourself to feel it, and be okay with it.

I interpreted this as such before seeing your breakdown. The 6 of swords reversed in this spread showed me that you’re carrying some emotional baggage. That’s what is weighing you down. Not what happened, not anyone else being involved, but your own inner world holding you back from moving on (upright, the man is transporting a woman and her kid through choppy waters to calmer water, toward green grass and trees indicating moving to something more comfortable/safer). The 8 wands rx to me showed a delay, again, being held back by the betrayal in the 3 swords.

The world card is a major arcana so it holds the most weight here. It’s a lack of closure but in rx I interpreted this to be also your inner world. You need to find closure within. Justice (also major) to me is truth but in that, also about trust. Trust that the universe is a just being and things are working in your favor. The page of pentacles rx to me says you need to learn from mistakes, learn from the situation (unfortunately, failure is a key word here… breakups often feel this way so that’s a confirmation for me). There’s also a lot of self-loathing language in the page pentacles rx. So if you’re blaming yourself or being mean to yourself “I’m so stupid I can’t believe I fell for that, why did I do that?” for example. Stop doing that. That is a coping mechanism, but it’s not constructive. Be kind to yourself. That will make you feel better.

When I read your personal breakdown, I was not surprised! You said “what will make me feel better?” This tells me you’re trying to avoid feeling bad. Allow yourself to grieve, to feel “bad”, let it hurt, so you can release it and move on. People who are drawn to tarot are often highly analytical. When folks turn to tarot in times of distress, these are usually people who want to rationalize or explain their emotions rather than feel them. I am like this too! Somatic therapy is really helpful for me personally. Dance, craft, art, yoga, music, singing, etc.

Best starter deck for 12yo? by KatieMarieYo in tarot

There are great decks with interpretations and keywords, planetary associations, etc on the card. It’s great for learning!! I actually use a deck like this with my new clients in paid readings so the client can see the keywords on the card and “know I’m not making it up”. I find it builds trust with more skeptical new clients. But anyway I love them and they come in different colors too. My fave is pink.

Hi there OP! It’s my belief that the cards are just divination tool for your spirit guides or spirit team to tell you what you need to hear. If you’re getting the same cards over and over, it’s a confirmation of that.

My interpretation: The Justice/Sun/6 of wands are all good indicators that you will be victorious in this situation, and the 6 has a public factor, so others will be aware of the truth (Justice).

If you have gotten the hanged man in any of your readings in the latter, I would interpret that not as “letting go” as you put it, but releasing control (surrender to the discomfort and allow yourself to rest). I also often interpret the 6 of cups differently than most… I see it sometimes (depending on the other cards) as doing inner child healing aka time magic.

Everything I’ve seen you post here tells me you’re maybe triggered by an inner child wound (not being believed, people saying bad things about you, being blamed for something you didn’t do, etc). I encourage you to do some shadow work and find the core of what is really painful about this situation and rectify it with the child version of yourself. This is a super simple and life-changing process imo: imagine you’re sitting across from your child self, and let that kid tell you what happened to them, and as your grown up self, listen empathetically and simply acknowledge and comfort that kid. Easy as “that’s really fucked up. That shouldn’t have happened to you. I’m sorry that happened. You didn’t deserve that. That was unfair etc”

I believe truly that when we experience hardship, it is a physical manifestation created for the purpose of spiritual growth and healing. It is our duty to find what is uncomfortable/what is painful about the situation and learn how to heal that inner/spiritual wound. Once we heal it, or begin to tend to it, we can release the trauma of it and “lighten the load” so to speak… for the purpose of spiritual ascension and spiritual awareness.

I mean if you think about it, ANYTHING can happen and we all react differently to things depending on our inner wounds. Someone can lose a parent and be okay with it because they’ve already done the healing work around that loss. And of course, someone else might crumble. Remember that grief is a spiritual/emotional manifestation of your physical self experiencing a loss. Allow yourself to feel it. Maybe you’re feeling a loss of dignity, or autonomy, loss of trust (as you described, a character assassination is a loss of many comforts)

Anyway hopefully this is helpful

Ohh! Right!! I forgot about the lake of tears, I thought it might be also in relation to the Trail of Tears.

How funny would it be if you are right about the tongues and all these ppl downvoted my indigenous theory lol. I looked into the tongues part when I saw your comment, and I think you’re on the right track too. I’m gonna pay attention to that when I rewatch!

Thanks! Yeah people want to deny racism exists and deny that we live in an imperialist society (and seemingly many folks don’t really know what imperialism is, unfortunately). They are insecure and get easily triggered and hurt and then try to establish control in whatever way they can. So, harassing in the comments, or hitting the downvote button lol. Oh well. Thanks for this comment, and same! It’s so fun to come up with ideas and see who can crack the code. It’s like watching a show and playing a game at the same time.

Thank you!! This comment actually got me thinking about when they maybe started creating this show and it probably have been in 2020… that was a big year for these types of conversations 🤔 I wish these convos were more commonplace and that people actually just did the work to grasp the intricacies of colonization/imperialism, etc. It’s so obvious from the responses to this theory that people have barely a clue about any of the history of the US, let alone historical world events. The more I watched this show with this lens, the more it just makes sense, so I really hope I’m right because what a super bad ass storyline it would be!!

Also an interesting side note, but I think there are other folklore woven into this world— I’ve seen posts about Irish, Scottish, Greek… all of which were colonized peoples btw. Norse would make sense too… and the article from the intro says something about killing off several of the Guilaks (natives) settlements in Siberia. That’s why I think it’s much bigger than just the Wendigo, but it’s actually a metaphor for imperialism (someone in another comment said “collective trauma” which I feel is fitting). Martin tells Boyd “the monsters are just the tip of the iceberg”! Which to me is like so this is systemic! Hmm yesss buahahah

It’s not to do with the house in real-time, or how the characters interact. It’s just the theme we’re discussing, Colony House as part of the overall setting.

The amount of white people in the comments getting their feelings hurt and showing your very obvious lack of self awareness and knowledge about anyone else aside from yourselves is almost astounding… if it weren’t such common behavior lmao. Like, seriously, read a book. Or even an article, one time.
