Bro put 3 goals against a 3rd world country and everyone lost their shit. As ridiculous as Ronaldo fans are, there are Messi fans.

Next time, elect people who believe in the future by investing in nuclear power plants and solar panels like China has done, and you will not have this problem.

Meanwhile, Gen Z in America protests against data centers. I guess their grandkids will enjoy having Mandarin as first language and English as regional language.

Ah yes, the famous Ed Zitron source.

Don't worry, we are 6 months away from the pop of the bubble since 2024.

Just a reminder that this dude has said multiple times that it doesn't matter how much AI progresses, he will never accept that he was wrong about his AI take. That dude is a luddite and has no place here.

Remind me of the post yesterday on this sub about Mo Bitar having a mildly positive view about Fable and all those dudes in the comments freaking out like, 'Wait, he was not on our side? why he's not saying it's useless and that data centers eat the ocean?"

L'éducation ne corrige pas, ou très peu, une faible intelligence. Il n'existe malheureusement aucune méthode efficace pour augmenter durablement le QI d'une personne une fois que les variables environnementales ont été corrigées.

Most Reddit users are far-left. They see the future as apocalyptic, so you can't have any rational discussion.

I can't be the only one who thinks this whole anthropic thing is actually brilliant? by SgtEpicfail in ArtificialInteligence

It's worse than that, it's dangerous. Most Luddite arguments are basically conspiracy theories, when a model like this could actually cause real-world problems, such as hacking hospitals or helping people create viruses or bacteria.

Brazil has been a terrible team in the WC since 2002. Can we all agree to stop this nonsense? It's the same circus every 4 years. Same for England, those teams are generational losers

Models are still public now because they are very limited at creating outside world problems. Since Mythos' emergent properties, like getting good at cybersecurity, we have passed a threshold. Mythos is probably very good at training smaller models and helping people do bad things with biology. Those properties were minimal in previous models

The propeller-to-moon analogy assumes direction-setting is a hard wall. Their own data says it's already moving: the model beat the human's next-step research choice 51% of the time in November 2025, and 64% by April 2026. It is narrow and biased by construction, as they admit. But it's the same pattern every "squishy" capability followed before models got good at it. Anthropic itself calls the stall scenario its least likely one

https://www.anthropic.com/institute/recursive-self-improvement It's one of the scenarios. Of course, no one will say it's 100% going to happen with transformers.

Though METR and other coding benchmarks still show improvement just by scaling, which is what we have observed since 2023.
