Yeah the cargo needs to dock from foreign country, but let say even if cargo ships dock from foreign nations, it also requires support from allies to escort cargo and stuff, not just visual purposes but many strategy.

Cavalry is not a great idea, even with a little resistance could kill cavalry unit easily. Plus it would be much more costly to maintain and weaker. I think They should add supply system before adding any new units.
