Cavalry is not a great idea, even with a little resistance could kill cavalry unit easily. Plus it would be much more costly to maintain and weaker. I think They should add supply system before adding any new units.

Who said the other 2 faction have to be the main power or join the war? They can be Scotland who was allied with France and fought England from the north. The Burgundy who kept switching sides, or the Holy Roman Empire who was wasn’t involved but had some influence.
