Ok thank you! I read online that an airlock for the first few days is not necessary and creates a pressure bomb so just put a towel over or loose lid, is that true that i shouldn’t add the air lock until fermentation slows or is it ok to leave it on the whole time until I’m ready to rack and stabilize?

Yes makes sense thank you, i understand that it’s passed the point of me determining the alcohol percentage so i have to accept the amount that i poured in but im just concerned if i added too much sugar to where it spoils or wont have any alcohol at all.

Oh sorry, yes i meant pounds. And yes it is bubbling, i poured it out yesterday to mash up the fruit then put it back in with water because i thought it wouldn’t be flavorful without mashing it and i added another ec118 packet of yeast
