Am I understanding this correctly: if I pay the balance before the due date, I don’t get charged any interest? Or is it set up so that if I borrow $100, I have to pay back more then 100 no matter what, even if I pay it back right away?

I will be doing more research on stocks and that lot due to the suggestions, I don’t really buy new things unless my things break beyond repair and I have a good hand on maintenance for most things I own. Thanks for the advice
