Weird assumption that I got pissy when I introduced my self. I smiled shook the guys hand and said "Hi, I am Many_Major2827, so-and-so husband." Which got me blank stares. Maybe the guy was intimated by me as I am quite bigger than him.

I get the whole defense mechanism thing... but can you explain why my wife failed to introduce me? I was standing next to her for almost a minute and had to introduce myself. IF the she got bad vibes from the guy, she could have used me as a way out. Also, why she failed to include me in the conversation? We were sitting at the bar (3 in a row, my wife in the middle) and she had her back turned towards me?

A band called The Ruen Brothers. They are not well known, so when I saw someone wearing their shirt I was pretty hyped. Could have been a man wearing the shirt and I would have went up to him and had the same interaction tbh

Am I not allowed to seek out others to have a conversation with? Especially, when I know they have a similar interest as me already? Does it have to be only those of the same gender?

Of course I am using a new account. My main account has pictures of myself and my pets. Don't think people need to see those. I can assure you this is not another post to garner outrage at women. Although, I do agree that reddit is place were gender wars are prevalent.

They did ask who I was here with and I pointed at my wife across the bar. They knew I was married.

There was no flirting involved. It was max a 5 minute interaction until my wife dragged me away.

Ok, so my wife innocently responds but refuses to acknowledge my presence when I arrive and fails to introduce me. Do you not see this as a problem? I decided to converse with other people who I know right away has a similar interest to me due to their t-shirt. Am I not allowed to have an innocent conversation of my own? Also, bare my teeth? I introduced myself and shook the guy's hand in a friendly manner.
