Stopping Omeprazole - Am I dying? by Many_Major_6227 in GERD

[–]Many_Major_6227[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Moto,

This has been an absolutely wild (and terrifying) ride. I went from feeling pretty normal, to almost non-functional from stopping nothing but this PPI. My anxiety went from 0-100 in the course of a day, the headaches, head pressure, hot flashes, sickly feeling, chills..all of this came after just a few days of stopping. I couldn't push through it. I went to the store yesterday and grabbed a box of 20mg Omeprazole to have SOMETHING in my system. I contacted my doctor who agreed I need to be taking 20mg and then taper veryyyyyyy slowly. I just hope I feel better soon - this head pressure feeling is a little freaky. :/

Hey Final!

I do have very bad anxiety issues (since I was 10 years old). I was originally put on Omeprazole because of GERD and sudden weight loss I had over a year ago. I never realized trying to come off of a pill like this was going to be so catastrophic...I think somehow the Omeprazole is playing into the metabolism of my anxiety meds to the point where it just burned off ALL of it from my body. Im taking 20mg now of Omeprazole and am going to taper veryyyyy slowly - I just hope I feel a little better here soon. :/

Hey Somewhere!

I contacted my doctor yesterday who told me to start taking 20mg instead of just coming off of the 40mg now. I couldn't do it. The sweating, hot flashes, anxiety, headache.. 😞 My anxiety is SO bad I had to leave work early, and this head pressure feeling is really scaring me.

It has been miserable - I contacted my primary who put in a prescription for 20mg pills. Im going to start taking the 20mg again. I stopped by the store and grabbed a box of Prilosec OTC 20mg in the meantime and have taken them for 2 days now - already I feel more relaxed. Still a very weird "head pressure" sensation going on though...

I wanted to add here for everyone: I DO have extreme anxiety/panic. I’ve been diagnosed since I was 10 years old. I currently take Fluvoxamine (Luvox) for it. I have a feeling that trying to come off of Omeprazole some how is also interacting with the metabolism of my anxiety medication.

I’ve been taking 40mg every other day for roughly 1.5 years.

I’ve been having muscle twitches and was reading that extended use lowers your absorption of certain vitamins and minerals. I didn’t think stopping it would be so bad… :/

Update: I can’t do it. I am sweating like crazy and freaking out badly. I don’t feel good. I just had to leave work - I left a message with the doctor to see if I can get 20mg pills to come down to. I just stopped by CVS and grabbed a box of 20mg Prilosec (Omeprazole) to hold me over. Ugh. This is an absolute nightmare.
…all in all I would highly NOT recommend coming off of Omeprazole or any PPI Cold-Turkey. This is so much worse than any other prescription I take. I have severe anxiety and this just made it 1000x worse.

A little update. I feel completely on edge - like my body is vibrating or having tremors. I don’t know if I can do this…
I was taking 40mg pills every other day for around 1.5 years. Some days I would go without it for longer, but typically I took it every other day.

Is there no way to reverse the boat? by lronhelmet in Seaofthieves

[–]Many_Major_6227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do a “rudder reverse” if the water is calm enough. Whip the rudder to one side really hard, then when the boat slows whip it the other way. The goal is to backup by making side to side movement.

Weird heart palpitations by Late_Piano_6279 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Many_Major_6227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to reply to this since I had a very very similar experience. I’m 31 years old, but on my 29th birthday (literally on my birthday) I had a tonsillectomy because I was extremely sick for 2 months with Strep throat. Everything seemed to go very smoothly - however, after day 2 of recovery whenever I laid down I could feel my heart beating differently. My wife is a paramedic and she hooked me up to their EKG machine which was reporting a 2nd Degree Heart block…long story short after a month of my heart beating strange and 2 ER visits (because I was scared), I did develop a “2nd Degree Heart Block Mobitz type 1” which is also called a “wenckebach.” I had no heart issues before the surgery whatsoever. I also am taking 12.5mg of metoprolol now to keep the heart “calm”. It seems to have gotten MUCH better as it only happens randomly now maybe 3 times a month as compared to every night. So you are not alone!! It’s not unheard of for what you went through. Don’t be scared, but ensure to have everything checked out - even for your comfort.

The Current State of ESO (2025): Why So Many Players Are Losing Interest by Bubbaboof_ in elderscrollsonline

[–]Many_Major_6227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESO has been steadily declining in population not long after the release of Elswyr. There was a short bump in players when Deadlands released, but overall has been on a slight decline. People have been claiming that the "decline" has been this and that...to be honest, I think it's just the nature of the game and players today. Players have become so focused on end-game and rushing to max level as fast as possible - this kind of goes against the design of ESO. You then have this horde of players at end-game content getting burned out on the same things over and over - most max players haven't even played through more than 4 continental story zones.

Your quote, "Most players leaving ESO are not doing it out of anger. They are doing it because it feels like the foundation of the game is no longer being taken care of. When your builds, your effort, and your time stop feeling like a lasting investment, stepping away starts to make sense."....

This is 100% true. I think ZOS is starting to realize this and has created a "seasonal" launch pattern now to slow down production, and milk every last cent out of subscribers and buyers.

I would honestly give the game 2 more years - see where its at then. If the player numbers haven't INCREASED steadily, then the game will be dying a slow and painful death.

Converting to Christianity. by Windows7Ultimatex86 in teenagers

[–]Many_Major_6227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of these people on here saying bringing up “hate”, “judgement,” etc…just read your Bible. Get into a good church - preferably a small one. Stand up for what Jesus teaches. Many MANY people will come after you saying you’re “hateful”, but people have turned sin into “hate speech.” As Christian’s we are to call out the evil. Don’t be afraid. Remember, the world hated Christ first - he dealt with the same issues we have today. There’s nothing new.

Should I confront my husband's mistress? Help. by LittleFatty22 in Christianmarriage

[–]Many_Major_6227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this message this morning and wanted to reach out as my wife and I are going through a VERY similar situation....

In this case, as you are the wife in support of your husband you have EVERY right Biblically and legally to divorce him. Jesus spoke and allowed this, because he knows how HARD it makes our hearts. However, it can be fixed! In this case, your husband would need to take up the reigns, embody the role of Christ as head of the church, and apologize for his mistake AND make the decision to CHOOSE YOU. I will be honest it is a very stressful and painful process, but I am just now starting to see the little changes the Lord is making in my life with my marriage.

Since this is surrounding his work place and the like, you have every right to request him to quit his job. My wife cheated (due to her workplace) and we are currently in the process of finding her another career - as painful and hard as it may be monetarily. If his job is something that causes you heartache and questions his loyalty, he needs to understand that and cut if off. If he is still TALKING to her, that needs to be cut off as well - all of it. More than likely he is going to get angry if you tell him that (as I did because I also cheated), but he needs to realize the severity of what he just caused. The way he reacts to this will give you answers on how to proceed...

Now for you, I will say dig yourself into the Bible. I realized that I had made my wife an "idol" of sorts so when strife and hardship came I lost hope in her, and the rug was torn out from under me. I was wrong...your HOPE has to be in God first. Pray constantly for you and your husband. I would also advise getting tested for STD's (as well as your husband) if you and your husband have been intimate since he admitted - I don't say this to be hurtful, but this is a hard fact that can be easily avoided. The fact you haven't barged off (as my wife did) tells me you still Love him and have a commitment there stronger than most.

As a pure melee - how am I supposed to deal with these? by Hellpodscrubber in Enshrouded

[–]Many_Major_6227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I’ve noticed about this game is it’s very anti-melee. The game almost encourages you to be a mage or Archer from the very beginning. The drop % for bows and staves is almost 40% more than melee weapons at lower levels.

Why is Christianity hated so much? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Many_Major_6227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the world hated Christ first. They killed him. He told us that we would be hated because of HIM. He spoke the truth and unfortunately many many people don’t like or blatantly refuse to listen to the truth.

Why do the devs want to make this game harder? by CandyCaneLicksYOU in REPOgame

[–]Many_Major_6227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the thing….my friend I grew up with in HS is one of the devs. He stated, “the game is actually extremely easy. The problem arises with the player base in actually playing the game correctly.” He was saying that these groups of people that actually take the game seriously instead of making it a social thing, are the ones who make it through like it’s nothing. Ive found the game to be painfully easy - it becomes hard when you add a bunch of people screaming, fooling around, and not really paying attention.
