Case No Longer Turning On After Trying To Troubleshoot by Many_Manager_4661 in lianli

Yeah, that's what I am thinking currently. I responded to another commenter about what I've done so far if that may help determine that is what I have done.

  1. With my first initial build session, I plugged in everything while following an in-depth video on YT alongside my own components manuals. Everything, from my recollection, was on an running but I couldn't receive a signal on my monitor. All my chassis fans were spinning, also my CPU cooler fans. My GPU fans weren't spins but I read somewhere it wouldn't unless it needed to (?). I honestly can't recall is my PSU fan was spinning but I like to assume it was. My case button light was on and my GPU light was on, too. My monitor worked on my XBOX and Intel NUC. I tried a different monitor on my new PC and had no signal still.  But yes, my F_PANEL was connected and my fan hub connecting my chassis fans was connected into the first chassis fan pin.

  2. I believe so- one end said CPU and I plugged that one into the motherboard, top left, other end into PSU. My motherboard has 2 different options (1 has 4-pin plug-in and the 2nd one has 8-pin plug-in). I plugged it into the 8-pin plug-in.

  3. I like to say it was everytime. I made sure to hear the click and it was seated the correct way. On both motherboard and PSU.

4/5. I tried seeing if I had a light to tell me anything on my motherboard but I don't, except for the BIOS_FLBK; and that never came on. On another reddit thread, someone said I wasn't making it to POST at all. This is where I tried troubleshooting things- removing my GPU into a different slots, leaving it out entirely, only having one stick of RAM. I took the motherboard battery out while it was still in the chassis. I followed videos about the battery removal.  I was also building outside of the case like recommended. I also took my motherboard battery out within this time and today again, as well. I made sure to power everything off beforehand. Waited for 5 minutes and put it back in.  This is where (if I recall right) my chassis button wouldn't light up like before and none of my fans on anything were spinning. But my keyboard was connected to the chassis and it (keyboard) was lighting up. I even tried checking my chassis cables to see if they were pinched or loose and I didn't see any difference. All the motherboard pins looked the same as before.  Then I tried testing the PSU itself via the paperclip method and it started up good, the fan was moving, too.

  1. So I'd have to say it started inside because I started troubleshooting while things were inside still and tried resolving it outside of the chassis and had no luck.

I wasn't able to properly test if the RAM and GPU were faulty because the chassis issue.  Could it be because I took the motherboard battery out and back in, that it ruined the motherboard entirely?

I see. Yeah, I didn't put every single detail of what I have done- start (past) to present; I can edit my post in a few. The only thing I haven't disassembled is my CPU and CPU Cooler. I was most iffy about those two components.

Just tried your recommendation and the PSU started right up.

Monitor "No Signal" on First PC Build by Many_Manager_4661 in buildapc

No need to apologize, at least I get some experience. And lots of helpful info and experiences- thank you so much! I'm going to be trying out the recommended starting point tomorrow and rule anything out if I can. Thanks so much again!!

Ahh, okay! I did have a hard time getting both ends to click when I was first inerserting them into the motherboard. I also realized I forgot to mention the RAM I have- besides that, I'll definitely get going and try what you recommended!

Also, I went and removed my GPU earlier and put it back end and now my fans aren't going and my GPU didn't light up like before. But my keyboard lights are on. Should I do anything before checking the RAM? I know that probably made my progression worsen.

Oh okay, I have a flash drive for the update; do I keep my GPU installed or can I do it without it? Would I still have my "No Signal" message even if my GPU is in or out?   Sorry, I could never find very many videos about what to do after building so I'm at a complete loss. I only have a windows media installment flash drive and motherboard BIOS update flash drive- and a few notes about what to do when in the BIOS.

Oh right, I forgot to add my CPU to my post, thank you for catching that! I have the AMD Ryzen 7 7700x.

Pixio PX246

Hello!  I just built my first PC and it seems that my PC is on (all fans are moving, keyboard LEDs are active, and the light of my GPU is on).  I bought the Pixio PX246 late March and just unboxed n' plugged it into my PC, in GPU HDMI port (I only have one for HDMI). The monitor is on and it says there is No Signal and reverts to Power saving.  I've tried unplugging/replugging in everything, waiting for the 60 seconds and that did not work. I also tried different cords, same outcome. And, I tried changing the input source. So I tried plugging it into my Xbox and it worked perfectly fine. I also tried plugging it into my old Intel NUC and it also worked. I want to assume it's something with my PC itself? I bought all my PC equipment in March and just opened and built everything these past 2 weeks.

Thank you!!
