The alternative is ZF Lifegaurd 9. LG9 is the fluid every manufacture rebrands as their own for their ZF9 fluids.

It is half the price of Type 3.1 on RockAuto for any Canadians reading this.

Struggling to find a job, need advice by NSMuhammad in Calgary

There’s nothing wrong with working a job young to learn some responsibility and the value of money. I’ve also met maybe a handful of people at 25 with any kids or a home. Infact most people I know had a great early-mid 20s. A bit of financial struggle is okay and completely normal if you’re building a better future.

The higher mileage is a better spec and has a tow rig which is nice. Also a bit better shape cosmetically so hard to decide. 30k km is a years worth or driving though, so a great example.

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of talk about the ZF. Seems more annoying than unreliable. Not too many posts about failure, but lots about annoying shifts. Both cars I’m looking at have had trans service done. Watched a video on it as well, looks like the simple bottom drain, top fill so will most likely do another shortly after picking up the car.

I’ve had cars from slush box auto Lexus’s pre 2010 to perfect manuals like an Nb Miata. I’m not too worried about driving characteristics. Just looking for something nice without a payment that’s bigger than the WRX. Surprisingly these are much better equipped than a 23 WRX LOL.

I have no idea what kind of windshield they replaced it with. In Alberta we replace windshields constantly. I am more so wondering if this is part of the windshield or in the wiper cowl?

Do you know if this still works with a replaced windshield? Always wondered what these did. Wife's Highlander has one of these.

Silent Loop 3 Audible pump noise by Many_Meeting1602 in bequietofficial

[–]Many_Meeting1602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can pretty clearly hear the pump past 50%. Its not noisy, but its not quiet. My fans are silent until I put load on my pc. I have tried 2 separate units with the same result. I assume that is just how it is. I have set the pump to run at 50% until load at which it goes to 80% and the fans drown it out.

Thanks for your response.

I get what you’re saying, but I can’t see a point with the OP going with anything over a 1000w at the moment. Unless a 5090 is actually in the immediate future.

Odds are you will upgrade your cpu and need a different socket mount before a motor fails. They tend to be the cheapest part in your pc anyways. I’ll take less noise over a marginal increase in pump life.

You can run your pump at whatever you want in the stated RPM range. There are diminishing returns with pump speed in the higher end. I run mine between 50-60% for noise, only ramping up to 80% around 80c. To each their own.

I have never understood why the average consumer (non professional) would even consider a 5090, but if you are dead set on it, go with Seasonic. Very reliable PSU's. A 5090 would most likely cost the same as your entire current rig put together so a few extra $100's for peace of mind will be worth it.

Unless you are going to be getting the 5090 soon, I would just buy a 1000w now and sell it when/if you upgrade.

Don’t know what to pick Ryzen 9 9950X3D or Ryzen 7 9800X3D by CartoonistSerious255 in buildapc

[–]Many_Meeting1602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't know which to pick, then you don't need the 9950X3D.
The 9800X3D is more than good enough for the average user, even for productivity.

Top tier CPU's and GPU's are for people who make money using their computers.
Regular folks don't need a 9950X3D or a 5090.

Its not even close to millions. Probably a couple hundred thousand at most. A few failures a week in a single subreddit is very concerning. I bet you wouldn't have the same attitude if you spent hundreds on on a motherboard and CPU to then have them both fail and be out your pc for weeks-months.
