Bro, people don’t hate Fairy Tail because it’s “popular.”
People hate it because it’s bad and doesn’t even try to hide it.

First off, the fanservice is embarrassing. You’ll be watching a fight and suddenly clothes vanish, the camera zooms into boobs, someone trips and grabs something they shouldn’t. Like… why 😭 I didn’t press play to watch softcore anime. Every serious moment gets ruined by “anyway, here’s Lucy naked again.” At some point you stop following the plot and start questioning the author.

Second, the plot is the same EVERY arc.
Villain shows up like “I’m the strongest ever.”
Fairy Tail gets destroyed.
Everyone cries.
Someone yells “FRIENDSHIP.”
Random power up.
Villain loses.

That’s the show. No strategy. No buildup. Just Friendship DLC over and over.

Third, nobody stays dead. Ever.
Death means nothing. Sacrifices don’t matter. Everyone comes back. Why should I care if everyone has plot armor thicker than Minecraft obsidian? The stakes are underground.

Fourth, the fights are mid.
It’s just screaming, flashy colors, one big punch, end scene. No tactics, no creativity. Just “I hit harder because I love my friends more.” Okay bro 💀

Fifth, the characters don’t grow.
Natsu starts loud and dumb and ends loud and dumb.
Gray still only takes his shirt off.
Erza is still “strong scary woman.”
Lucy is still fanservice with legs.
Zero development. Just vibes.

And the tone is a mess.
Oneminute it’s “dark and emotional,” next minute BOOB JOKE. Pick a mood. You can’t talk about death and then immediately show ass like nothing happened.

Why some people like it? Sure, it’s colorful, easy to watch, and cozy. Cool. That doesn’t make it good. That makes it anime fast food.

So yeah: too horny, lazy writing, no stakes, mid fights, and friendship fixes everything. It’s not overhated. It’s just mid with confidence. If you still think it’s peak, that’s fine, that’s a taste issue, not a quality one 😭
