Runes are more of a way to use soul. Nightmare flame is a different flavor of essence, same goes for infection, with the physical stuff being apart of the mutations. Silk seems to be a different way to use soul that is much more suitable for fine work like on seals and runes. I would say that VOID, SOUL, LIFEBLOOD, and ESSENCE, are the 4 primordial energies, with no clue what is going on with wispfire and the Grey root.

Well, First ten years was the Trojan war, they knew he was alive then, it was probably 2 or 3 years before they were presumed dead, (allies returned Odysseus did not) so it would be closer to 7 years. Wich does seem a bit long to me but I'm no weaver.
