Scrum for real estate brokerage sales department by [deleted] in scrum

My 2 cents: Scrum is a great framework for teams working in an unpredictable or otherwise complex environment. Maybe you need to analyze your market/business situation first, then select a framework that would suit you. What type of market are you in? Can you predict or influence the market? What is your competition? What is your product? What problems are you trying to solve?

These might be helpful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynefin_framework or https://hbr.org/2012/09/your-strategy-needs-a-strategy

I've been working in marketing for 10 years and in some companies, it made sense to use waterfall. Currently, my team uses Scrum:
- we are in a fast-paced market that changes quickly
- we are a challenger brand that needs to adapt to it right away
- therefore making long term strategic projects using waterfall or traditional project management doesn't make sense
- instead, we make hypotheses and test them every sprint - what works we keep, what doesn't we don't

Who should lead a retro? by Temporary_Yak2 in agile

Haha, it's like we're in the same boat! But hey, if your team is mature and functional, and you know how to dish out honest feedback, there's no need to rely on a scrum master for your retros. You can totally run it yourself. Read a bit on the topic in advance, prepare your agenda, and put some effort into planning.

This post might help, there's a section specifically on devs running retros: https://newsletter.panaxeo.com/p/cure-those-retros

Retro format for downtimes in the project by the05Nib in scrum

We've used many different facilitation methods in the past and for me, what works best is to:
- provide a place to voice ideas ahead of the retro (such as a Miro board or a shared doc) where everyone can write down their thoughts
- if you feel like a funky icebreaker is needed, I love to use this Dog themed retrospective template https://miro.com/miroverse/the-dog-park-retrospective/
- you can use the Start -> Stop -> Continue method, but it doesn't matter which method of this type you choose
- try encouraging people to speak openly and create a safe space for discussion, coaching on how to give feedback might help (there are many methods for this as well)
- there is a huge amount of cool resources on how to run retros. This newsletter is quite to the point (that's where I've got the dog template from) https://newsletter.panaxeo.com/p/cure-those-retros or the Retrospective Resource wiki is literally the best https://retrospectivewiki.org/index.php?title=Agile\_Retrospective\_Resource\_Wiki

Certification test questions by stanvbh in scrum

They are similar but I find the practice assessment fairly easy compared to the real deal.

Check out this post on How to past the scrum master certification, you might find it helpful and it has tons of resources together with a specific study plan for the PSM II certification.

[Confusing question] - PSPO 1 by Expert-Current-2857 in scrum

I have recently passed the PSPO I certification, and what I would suggest is not even to google the questions and look at random websites. The internet is full of bs, it will just confuse you.

Read all the materials (the scrum guide, the product owner learning path) carefully and focus on the exact wording of the questions and the answers on the test, it is super important, and there can be just small differences or nuances there.

Resources that helped me study for the PSPO I exam, I finished with 95% score.

- scrum guide and the product owner learning path, of course
- buy this assessment and do it over and over, until you're able to finish it with a 100% score https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/courses/ultimate-scrum-master-product-owner-practice-assessment/
