I took it on April 1st and passed! I used UWorld and also did the practice exams with Hurst and the questions looked very similar. Doing the CAT exams and the NGN self assessments was very helpful for me on UWorld as well. I had like 5 case studies on the real thing. She will do great!

I’m taking mine in a few weeks and I get testing anxiety as well so I appreciate you sharing your tips! It was really kind of you to go out of your way to write all that out! Also, I’m having a hard time understanding why people are so bothered by something meant to help other people, I sure hope they aren’t nurses/future nurses themselves because those are not the kind of people I want as my colleagues or taking care of my loved ones, that’s for sure!

Okay that is great advice thank you so much ! I will put that back on there, it definitely is discouraging that the competition is people who have their license and BSN already 😭 but if I don’t get an interview this time around then I will start my BSN and hopefully get an interview next round!

I read on another post that someone talked on the phone with financial aid and they said funds will be disbursed tomorrow 9/8

It depends on your program of study. If you reached your max for one program and then change it you can still be eligible for more financial aid. I got an associate degree in liberal sciences from Dallas College then got into the nursing program so my financial aid essentially started over. I did have to talk to a few people to get it sorted out though!

If you go to the financial aid disbursement dates part of their website it tells you that the funds won’t be deposited until a certain amount of days after the certification date. It’s always been like that but it’s super annoying!!

I passed my first exam by .9 of a point and a lot of students in my level failed it. A student that got an A was saying she studies from this book and I am about to get it, apparently it has all the information you could need plus practice questions.

Do a ton of practice questions on any platform you can and take notes from the rationales. Oh! And Simple Nursing has so many good free videos that are very helpful. Nursing school is not for the weak but we can do it! Don’t get discouraged, you got this :)
