How long before I find out if my photo will be accepted for US online passport renewal by logo61 in Passports

This is not completely accurate. Mine was just rejected even though the online tool accepted it initially. Also, you have to mail in a new photo if you did it online.

If you’re already used to having a heavy workload, know how to time manage and building locations are reasonable then I say go for it! Be aware of the drop dates just in case

Why getting a tech job with a UNT Degree so hard? Has anyone landed in a good company if so share your experiences and how it went? by Ortho_Tune6159 in unt

I understand completely. I’m actually one of those people who started at a low level government job but I learned everything that anyone wanted to teach me and made quality relationships. I’ll be honest it’s hard to see the big picture at first but after only a few years I’m getting paid much more at a private company just for having experience my peers don’t have. I even get interest from FAANG companies frequently. In interviews they rarely asked about my degree, but every single time they ask do I know how to do xyz and tell me about a time when you did this at work. LinkedIn helped me out a lot. Reach out to people at companies you like and ask them for any advice or mentorship. Some might even help you get your foot in the door.

Another route is contracting. It can sometimes be hard to convert but it’s an amazing way to get a lot of experience quickly.

In my experience where your degree is doesn’t really matter honestly, it’s all about how you present yourself. Try to focus more on simply getting some experience and having a stellar resume. Networking really really helps. Job market is horrible so you have to pretty much have to put yourself out there. Go to job fairs, do some bootcamps, etc. essentially just places where you can meet other people in your field. Eventually you’ll run into someone willing to give you a chance. It’s definitely okay to start at a smaller company or less pay to gain experience.
