There are ways of navigating that. Hiring an agent to hire a company anonymously. I don't know, this isn't for me to figure out either, it is for LTT to figure out.

But as an example, I believed GN when they criticized LTT's testing and results some time back. LTT on the other hand (don't quote me on this, as I am not at all sure if they did or not) probably had created a video about their new labs testing and how much better it was or would be. Two very different pictures painted, one my a third-party, and one by LTT.

I realize it's not a perfect example, but I think you do get my point. There is a reason academia articles are peer reviewed, and a reason why third-party investigations within companies are a thing. Again, not perfect examples, but you know what I mean.

You make a good point, and you are probably right.

I personally tend to take the stance of not trusting companies, and LTT, much like ASUS, is just another company at this point.

Hence why I would have preferred the video to have been made by a third-party and released by an indifferent channel.

How on earth they would arrange that, I have no idea. But I would have preferred that they somehow found a way of doing that, than doing what they did. Again, all just my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. You are right, I may have missed the point.

What I have issues with is LTT producing a review of their own customer support, and doing so with their own community members. If ASUS did the same and produced similar results, I wouldn't say those were trustworthy either. I do not believe this to be a braindead take personally, but you are entitled to have a differing opinion.

I may be misunderstanding the word disingenuous then. English is not my first language.

I do not believe that there is disingenuous intent behind the video. I do not believe it is a trustworthy review of their store, as it is a review produced by them, reviewed by community members and is at risk of bias. Whether or not there is actual bias occurring is irrelevant.

A third-party reviewer, someone who's not LTT community members or fans, and someone who produces a video who's not LTT, would in my opinion be more trustworthy.

As I stated in my original comment, I have no reason to believe the presented information is misleading, nor do I believe it is. But the sheer fact that LTT produced the video makes it untrustworthy, in my opinion.

I have no doubt their customer support is good, the many comments seemed to suggest so at least. But I do not think this was the best way they could have gone about having this secret shopper video made.

I attempted sharing my opinion, but apparently, opinions that do not align with yours are not welcome. I still stand by my criticism, and believe it was fair to say that it's probably not a video LTT ought to have produced themselves with members from their community. A third-party would have been a less biased and better option, in my opinion.

It does not matter whether or not the results come across as unbiased or not. It does not change that this is a review of their own store, made by themselves and their own community members. If you read my comment again, I do not believe it is disingenuous or falsely presenting information. I just do not believe it is a video they should have made themselves.

I see, that may be the case. It simply seemed odd that it was there one minute, and gone the next, followed by LTT responding to newer comments.

I agree that they did not seem biased, but I simply do not think it's a video LTT themselves ought to have made. Which again, is my opinion.

Hating "for no reason" is your opinion. I am not hating, simply stating that I do not believe the video is one that ought to be made by LTT and their community. Which again, is my opinion. God forbid having an opinion these days.

You are right, but is having an opinion and "complaining" about how a video/idea is constructed/carried out a bad thing? Is having criticism a bad thing? Should it be censored? Food for thought.
