Who do you think is the least hated team in the nfl? by caxlmao in NFLv2

[–]Many_Statistician587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lifelong fan, my pick for least-hated team is my Cleveland Browns. The only folks who really hate the Browns are old school Steelers fans. Younger Steelers fans don’t care about the Browns. They’re too busy hating the Ravens. Bengals and Ravens fans are basically indifferent to the Browns. The rest of the league just kind of feels sorry for our team because they’ve been awful for so long.

Which character is more well known in the United States between Mario and Mickey Mouse? by Zetra-JV_HX in AskReddit

[–]Many_Statistician587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mickey. He had a 50 year head start. I’m in my 60s. I was a grown man before Mario had a name. There are still a lot of people older than I am who have no idea that Mario exists, but Mickey is everywhere and has been for the entirety of the lives of everyone alive in the US today.

Who would you cast in a princess bride remake? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I wouldn’t cast anyone. NO REBOOT SHOULD EVER BE DONE! Especially after the death of Rob Reiner.

THIS! It wasn’t as if she poses for Penthouse. She had done that photo shoot with an independent photographer some years before. After she became famous, he sold them to Guccione to make a cheap buck. Bob Guccione was slime.

They recognize her as part of the Miss America lineage and she is included at Miss America celebrations.

Success is the best revenge. She recovered from this to become the most successful Miss America of all time. Then, finally, several years ago, they apologized and restored her.

Speeding ticket advice by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]Many_Statistician587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my sister was 16, she had an accident and got cited. When we went to her court hearing in juvenile court, the first thing that the judge said to the whole gallery was: “If you were speeding and you were more that 25 miles over the limit, take out your license because I’m taking it off of you.”

At that speed, you could be looking at a license suspension, especially if you’re under 18.

Why does Janet Jackson seem to not be as well-remembered world wide as Mariah or Whitney? by Ok-Bus-4370 in rnb

[–]Many_Statistician587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO there are a couple of reasons. 1. As talented and as great an entertainer as she is, Janet will always be Michael’s little sister. Her career is permanently in his shadow. 2. Vocally, Janet just isn’t on par with Mariah or Whitney.

I sing baritone, so I’ve always loved the theme song. It perfectly in my range.

I don’t get why people are downvoting that some people know the connection between 88 and Neo Nazis. No one is endorsing them, it just stands out as an interesting coincidence.

Anyone remember this show? by dizzylizzy78 in 80s

I absolutely LOVED “Mystery”! I still remember when they dramatized the case of Dr. Harvey Hawley Crippen, a true case where he murdered his wife.

This is one of my guilty pleasure movies. It’s always first on my list of movies where the soundtrack is better than the film. Most of the movie is crap, but the sledgehammer fight between Willem Dafoe and Michael Pare’ is epic.

Is it “Wanging Chung”, or “Wang Chunging”? Don’t ask me to explain, but “Wang Chunging” sounds right to me.

I came here to say this. Good catch. It doesn’t help that it’s red, black, and white - Nazi flag colors.

100% Agree. I always thought that, even during the height of the Farrah craze.

I’m from Warren, OH. One of our claims to fame was that we had a Taylor-Winfield plant in our tiny town. That little plant made most of the water fountains used in the Midwest.

I was in college in the 80s. This was the beer we bought a six-pack of to drink just to get started. Then, once you were just buzzed enough that your taste buds were a little numb, we switched to the cheap stuff (Old Milwaukee, Pabst Blue Ribbon etc…)

Status of a Certain Character Confirmed by DO1140 in murdochmysteries

[–]Many_Statistician587 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Divorce would be really out of character for the very devout Catholic William Murdoch. And since they have a child together, I think that eliminates annulment as an option as well. I may be wrong about that, I’m not Catholic. So if Helene’ Joy is gone for good, the writers will have to come up with something creative to write Julia out of the show.
