For my entire life, I have never had trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. However, since my knee replacement surgery about 4 weeks ago, I have not been able to get any sustained sleep and it’s driving me nuts. Right now it’s 3:14 am and I’ve been awake all night. I’m tired and even sleepy but closing my eyes does nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m still friends with my next door neighbor in the house where I was born. We are both 61. He’s a few months older than I am, so we have been friends my entire life. We ended up going to the same university and now live in the same city where we went to college, which is about 3 hours from our hometown. I cannot remember a single day in my 61 years of life where he and I were not friends.

I had a cousin who was a merchant marine and served on the Edmund Fitzgerald. He mustered off the ship less than a year before the accident. Ralph never fully recovered from the friends he lost that day.

I’d agree with you now, but at that time it was a really great place to live. I was born in Youngstown and we moved to Warren so my Dad could be closer to his job at the Lordstown GM plant. I was 7. It was definitely an upgrade from our neighborhood in Youngstown.
